As we added oats dont we need to boil
@Mylittlemoppet2 сағат бұрын
Hi, Since we’ve used rolled oats and roasted all the ingredients before grinding and storing, there’s no need to boil. Adding hot water or hot milk [1 year above] to the mix should be sufficient for softening and making it easy to digest for babies and kids.

Salt potli means
@MylittlemoppetКүн бұрын
The salt potli remedy is a simple home treatment for ear pain in kids. Warm some rock salt (not too hot), wrap it in a clean cotton cloth, and gently place the pouch outside the ear, near the affected area. Never insert it into the ear canal or inside the ear. The heat can reduce pain and improve blood flow. Always ensure the potli isn’t too hot to avoid burns. While this may give temporary relief, consult your pediatrician if the pain continues or if there are signs of infection.

What to do for 2 month old baby
@MylittlemoppetКүн бұрын
For babies under 2 months old usually home remedies aren't recommended directly because at this age baby's skin and organs are developing will still be sensitive and any home remedy could lead to an allergic reaction, thus it is not suggested. But you can try some tips that would help. If your child has severe cough and could then immediately visit your pediatrician for the prescribed medication along with this you can also follow these tips keep your child elevated while nursing your child, while sleeping to avoid nasal blockage, and warm oil massage on baby's chest and back would do well.

If you are constipated. First, drink 1-2 glasses of hot water (for pregnant women, just warm water). Then, with your fingers, grasp the anal area between your buttocks while standing(Attention!! do not insert a finger, but just put it on the surface), and press several times as if you are pressing buttons on a remote. Press firmly, then wait for 10-15 minutes. When you feel churning in your stomach, it means everything is ok, it means water has entered the exit hole. Then, drink 1 glass again, but this time go to the toilet. Again, standing, repeat the same thing with your fingers in the anal area. Press until you feel a strong urge to defecate. When you feel a strong urge, immediately sit on the toilet. (And quit smoking and drinking alcohol.)
@MylittlemoppetКүн бұрын
Thank you for your input, but the advice shared in this post is unconventional and not medically backed so it is not suitable for both adults and babies. For babies experiencing constipation, it's important to approach the situation gently and safely. Instead of using physical methods like the one described, it's best to focus on increasing hydration, offering fiber-rich foods (for babies over 6 months), and trying gentle tummy massages or leg exercises. Always consult with a pediatrician if your baby is experiencing persistent constipation or discomfort. Safety and comfort are key when caring for little ones.

I read your caption : so you mean Instead of keeping it in thermas flask you are suggesting to store in bottle and wrap it with towel... what sense it makes for you to give such suggestions!!
@MylittlemoppetКүн бұрын
Thank you for reading the caption! I understand your concern, and I suggest reading the full caption for better clarity on the towel-wrapping method. To clarify, the towel method was something I tried with my kids to keep milk warm, but I mentioned it may not be ideal and didn’t yield good results. My main advice is to avoid storing milk in a thermos for long periods due to the risk of bacterial growth. If you must use a thermos, do so for a short duration and avoid reusing milk after a long gap. The safest approach is always to serve freshly prepared milk. I hope this clears things up!

If your child is above 1 year old then this remedy can be fed to your child and is not suitable for babies under 12 months. Here's the remedy, take a `1 tsp of honey, 1/2 tsp ginger juice, a pinch of turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and a few drops of lemon juice mix it well and feed it to your child. You can give this concoction twice a day.

Hi mam, For 8 months old baby can i use nasal aspirator (suction)... Wont it damage nose?? Please reply... My baby is suffering from cold for the past 2 weeks
@Mylittlemoppet6 күн бұрын
Yes, you can use a nasal aspirator safely for your baby to help with a blocked nose. It won’t damage their nose if used gently and used as per the mentioned way with proper precautions. Just choose a soft-tip aspirator, and limit suctioning to a few times a day, like before feeding or sleeping to avoid irritation. Adding a few saline drops to the nose before suctioning will make it easier and more comfortable for your baby. So 2-3 times a day is good after cross checking your baby's comfort with it. If the cold continues, though, it’s best to check with your pediatrician for further advice.

Turmeric is completely optional, you can skip this while prepping it at home. We added turmeric a bit for it's warm golden color additionally it aids in immunity, supports overall health and helps with digestion making it gentle on little tummies.

@Mylittlemoppet11 күн бұрын
Gray colored stool may indicate a digestive issue. Keep an eye on the stool color and frequency, and note any other symptoms like fussy, irritability, or poor feeding. Continue breastfeeding or formula feeding as usual without introducing anything new and It's best to consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying concerns in case if the grey stools are persisting for more than a few days.

My baby boy was 12 months old but his weight 6.5 kgs
@Mylittlemoppet11 күн бұрын
A weight of 6.5 kg at 1 year is below the average range, which could indicate the need for nutritional support. At this age, babies usually weigh around 8-10 kg, though there can be healthy variation if the child's health and immunity is good. Include calorie-dense foods like mashed bananas, avocados, and potatoes, along with protein sources like well-cooked lentils,oats, millets, rice/brown rice and eggs (if allowed).
