Hi all, "if" youre getting the comma error make sure you copy the whole string including the "if" part, I had this issue as I skipped it thinking it would ruin the formula but it doesnt! make sure to copy as such if(Area = (Perimeter / 4) ^ 2, Perimeter / 4, ((Perimeter / 2) - sqrt((Perimeter / 2) ^ 2 - 4 * Area)) / 2)

This program is too much drama, Architectural desktop clearly indicates where to update any part of any window and door, it so weir the Autodesk has to re invent everything so we like sheep we buy it.

How do you round up the numbers so you dont get Dimensions with 1/2" or 1/16"??

If I alter the value of the Frame Depth turns out that one reference plane doesn't move, remains anchored, therefore, the E.Q. dimensions become two different distances. I tried moving the reference lines manually and it works, but not when I edit the frame depth numerical distance just like you have shown in the tutorial ( I also tried via the Family Types icon ). The error message: -Walls: Basic Wall: Generic-6" id#, -Reference Planes: Reference Plane: id#, -Reference Planes: Reference Plane: id# I checked the constraints by using a little icon at the bottom of the screen + I used "Visibility Graphics -Annotation Categories-Automatic Sketch Dimensions" to make sure they are correct. I have done this tutorial 2 times already, just to make sure I haven't done anything wrong, however, I cannot figure out why is this happening.

The idea is nice but the calculation turns out inaccurate for me. I guess it only works when the room is a perfect rectangle

I followed your video .The door doenot turn out parametric. It shows error if I change any of the parameters. It shows Constraints not satisfied Error 1 : Frame/Mullion - Sweep id 5550 Dimension : Linear dimension style :Default linear style : label :frame depth id 7937
