This is going to leak so much! Why do y’all get on here to make fools of yourself! It’s ridiculous. Then people watch it then repeat it and they are paying 30% to 50 % more on utility bills. Y’all should be ashamed

Question- I know it’s an old video, but why not use the zip ties?

Love the tutorial. Easy to understand the concepts and allow for a non-industry folk to perform and install. Thank you.

Great video. Was considering buying a pre insulated boot to fix my weeping boot/saturated insulation.. I like this better.

His advice is outdated. Mastic is required by code, sometimes over the tape. JS

Great video!!! Very helpful. Thanks. By the way, I grew up in Rossville and now live in Cape Canaveral, FL. I'm adding a vent in a guest bedroom to a duct that feeds the living room on the other side of the wall. The bedroom vent doesn't provide enough air to adequately cool the room. Thanks again...Butch Bedwell

The best way to do that is put a elbow on the end of the boot metal elbow then wrap it all because it Flex Crips up on a 90

We need a couple decent HVAC companies in Albuquerque, NM, where everyone freezes or cooks depending on the season. Dampers aren't in the dictionary here or the ductwork.

Have you found one yet? I live in ABQ too, and recently discovered the chase from my HVAC unit had NO ductwork and asbestos covering the 2x4s; had it professionally abated. I contacted a plumbing and heating company, who quoted me $4800 to install ductwork in an 8’x4’ area! I’m going to attempt a DYI.
