Yeh i tried it out... It needs work. So I will take a break from Settlement Survival for a week or so and get right back into it with our normal city builds minus the military and beasts.

To move the storage cart, you have to click the wagon wheel on the left side of the "storage cart" window. It's on the upper left side right above the storage limits.

Glad the camp is defeated. It was brutal watching them struggle crossing the bridge. This camp was level 24, curious to see what level will respond next

First things i focus on is agriculture. Make sure you have farming efficiency. Start with a research lab to get some tech point and build a school. After you received some techpoints. I invest in mining and the boiler room. Make 2 mines and let 2 people per mine get iron and coal. Use coal as fuel. In the meantime you can make a sawmill for some emergency fuel.

i enjoyed the video, but i would like to enjoy them all. You may not see this or even care, but it would be helpful if you could sort your play list to start from 1 and go on from there. ive noticed that on at least 2 of the playlists that i want to watch, they are both out of order. This one and settlement survival. the others may be as well. i think that would be helpful to any one who wants to watch the playlist. keep up the good videos though.

@JpaceBuilds thanks for seeing / responding 😊 Yes, it shows the newest one first in the play lists, if I watch the first episode, it's at the bottom of the playlist and cant watch them in order. So right now the playlist starts at 6,5,4,3,2,1.

Suggestion, you can terraform the terrain into river around the bandit camp and build only one bridge to allow the bandit to walk over. At the edge of the bridge build alot of watch tower with fence or place alot of troop at the edge of bridge. But it kind of cheat and reduce the difficulty of game.

I'm so far behind on your videos! I left a comment on your first Patron vid but it disappeared. Glad to see you playing that one, I like it too. I hate the combat so much in SS! I also dislike the new disasters. They are too extreme, imo. I've been playing on peaceful and no disasters otherwise I get frustrated. You're handling it very well.

First thing you need to do to have a better community is to get rid of empty houses. Choose what side of town you’ll be focusing on. Make sure you have all mining processing structures on so you can upgrade your houses instead of make a lot of level 1 house. This will allow you to be more organized and focus on what really matters. First is food of course which you already covered, second priority is money. Make some expensive trading goods so that you have enough money to buy anything you need. Third, you have to pump up your happiness and health by giving food and entertainment. Imma give you the rest suggestions after you do this first 3. I promise you, you will enjoy the game so much more

Another thing. Get your town organize so that you can maneuver quickly whenever you need something fast. Place same processing buildings in one place per category.

Here is a cheesy strategy. Save the game before you attack the bandit camp. If you lose all your soldiers in the attack reload the save. Not good to be without an army this late in the game

I am happy that you enjoy the videos. I like talking things out while I play. In most cases when i start a brand new game, I am brand new to it. I do not play it first then put out content. So you are watching me explore this game for the first time.

Terrible absolutely terrible. The combat is just not fun in this game. If you put the shield guys in a formation outside of the camp first then put the archers behind the shield guys once they're all in that formation then you can do the drag select and then send them in that way they'll have the shield guys going first taking the damage and then the archers will take out the camp I recommend having three tank squads and three archer squads, the spear guys are not necessary

@@lorddagoth1691 Yeh It is going to take me literally years to build up an army again. I will try again. I heard though once the camp becomes so strong you can't defeat it and it destroys your whole city.

Here are some questions on the combat. And in the shield guys first then send in the spearman then send in the archers in that order. Also if you have the resources you should make the military supplies to give more health to your army.

Thanks, I sent in about 80 people and cleared out the camp. In the newest episode another camp popped up so we will take that out, but their level does not reset. So it will get harder.

I believe I found my problem that I have. All the storage spots that I have none of them was allowed to take in domestic fuel. So this is what caused them to quit making wood was because their inventory was already filled up with fuel and then they had nowhere to take the fuel so they just stayed and rest mode while the inventory was full. So glad that this was a user error and not a bug.

I'm in my third playthrough of the game and my workers in the chop House and the sawmill will not work. All they will do is rest and if you try to find out where they are they'll be near the chophouse or saw house and they'll be scratching their head while it says they're resting. It doesn't matter what they make either planks or domestic fuel. Or what ingredients or how many workers are in the building. All they do is rest but they're not resting. I tried deleting the buildings I've tried to upgrading and no luck now I'm trying to go back to it earlier save to see if that helps. Hope no one else goes through this game breaking bug and hopefully someone else has to work around. As of now I'll just have to use trade to supply. Luckily I know how to use the boilers to use for a little domestic fuel

Update: I have went back to an earlier save and I have built many saw houses and had the people the sign to make domestic fuel. The people went to work they shopped wood filled up their inventory with domestic fuel then went into rest mode. I kept cycling through the workers and eventually I went from zero domestic fuel to almost 400 once they started emptying their inventory. Pretty sure this is not working right.

Are your limits hit? I know the default is 200 i think. They will not work if its at limit.

@@JpaceBuilds I had the limit set to 10,000. It was definitely I didn't have any storage spaces that was allowing domestic fuel or planks. I've been attempting to have a storage spaces assigned very particular stuff and none of them was accepting the domestic fuel once I made a storage bar just for domestic fuel now I'm good to go. Anyways I've been enjoying your streams look forward to more content. One other thing is that up to the point now where I got a good graphs on how the combat works with the towers and reserving soldiers. And with that I can say I hope that they do something different with the combat and make it better. It seems like when you're playing with combat one you either just have to be able to repair the stuff that you lose or your best and soldiers that were ultimately die defending.

35:58 From the 1:39 mark to the 35:58 mark, the settlement has a constant problem with logs. The workers at the sawmill could well have been temporarily laid off and sent to logging, but they were just sitting at the sawmill and spitting at the ceiling because there were no logs all this time. If there are no logs, then there will be nowhere for new planks to appear. This is too much waste for a settlement that is being built and constantly needs resources. During this period of time, the sawyers could have cut down enough wood for the rest of the game

Shockproof stone floor is quicker to do than getting 700 building kits, if you want something temporary against earthquakes. It isn't permanent unlike building kits though, a quake or two destroys them. But since you have such a huge amount of stone it could be a good solution if you get a new earthquake before you have all your kits. That Rebuild All is suuuper handy, haha!
