Thank you for your reassurance. Any time I have a moment alone I can’t stop crying. My family keeps saying “You’re stronger than this, you can’t let this creep ruin your life, it’s not gonna be that bad”, as if I don’t remember what his past term was like, like I didn’t live every day in fear that the end was coming. I’m trying to cut myself off from social media because it’s nothing but doom or false hopes, and I feel so…alone. Either everyone is talking about it too much, or they’re somehow able to get on with their lives while the rest of us are drowning. I’m terrified, furious and frustrated in equal measure, and you’re the first person to tell me that it’s ok to feel that way. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

24:12 this is one of the biggest disappointments for me. Because of how little we learned about conner, I thought it was setting up a revealed truth that tells more about who he really is. People would learn how their perceptions were warped or how small details got twisted to spin a larger narrative. It would have been a great "death of the author story", where there is a death of the supposed true author, but there is a real lost meaning and "death" of evan's intentions or the person he was before the lie. It could have been fantastic and showed Evan's downfall in a much better way instead of no one ever really knowing the truth but the family and his mom. That would have also prompted Evan to learn more about who Conner really was and maybe be stuck between the fake and real depictions of him. Evan could fall into his own lies and believe them, prompting a fight with the Conner in his mind. That change could do a lot and and still work without many story changes. You still get the others confronting Evan, you get the Conner fight, you can keep the mom's song, and you can have Evan getting out of his own head and learning about conner. But the story doesn't want Evan to be made responsible for his actions. If anyone is looking for a story that does this concept well, look at game, The Beginners Guide.

I could've sworn I remembered a scene where people online forgive Evan after his apology
@CinemageddonReviews6 ай бұрын
They don’t; or rather if they do, we never see it. Evan apologizes for what he did, and the status quo is restored. He just goes back to being a lonely loser while everyone either ignores him or side eyes him slightly. His apology was basically a reset button, because the people who made this story don’t actually know how the internet works despite claiming otherwise.

"It's showing and not telling, the one cardinal rule for visual storytelling that you should never break, and it's a rule that Hack Snyder fails to follow again and again! Well said, bro! Hack Snyder is the most incompetent and self-indulgent director of our time! Most of his movies are mediocre at best. I, myself being a story artist in the animation field, can't help but point out that The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is absolutely boring and full of unoriginal cliche, and just another instance of Zack prioritizing style over substance in most of his films...man should just retire at this point and shut his big old mouth about people are too stupid to understand his films. What a fourteen years old edgy hack!

No, he pitched this as an R-rated Star Wars film during the Disney acquisition. It was meant to be a soft reboot of sorts and was supposed to “fix” (whatever that means) a few problems the prequel trilogy had.

As a person who knew NOTHING about One Piece. (To old for when it started, I don't know how it's possible that i never heard of it after) I think I can confidently say, with no basis of knowledge of the manga or the anime............everyone involved should be proud. My selling point to coworkers and family has been. "The season ended with me feeling both happy and inspired!!!!". Fuck cliffhangers! This made me feel absolute child-like joy. The thing I don't understand about my ignorance. I was a huge fan of the Ranma 1/2 anime when I was a teen. So One Piece isn't even that far off the mark for things I had been exposed to. Also if you want to see right wing politicians lose their mind..........Ranma 1/2 would cause aneurisms lol. Edit: Ryoga Habiki is still my favorite character of all time.

The thing I loved the most about this adaptation, was just how everyone in the main cast FELT like the characters they were portraying. Despite toning down some aspects of the characters, or adapting them to feel more realistic to the context of the live action (cue to Luffy's self doubting moments), they still mantained theie core aspects in the script, and gave them passionate actors who understood the assignment. This adaptation nailed the most important things when adapting a beloved franchise into another media: script, casting, acting and design. Everything else is superfluous and can have the ocasional slip ups, as long as they nail the fundamentals. In comparison, I didnt like the avatar live action adaptation, because the script/dialogues was poorly done and made unnecessary changes to the characters. The casting and acting had some poor choices, and the costuming/set pieces looked poorly done. The lack of fully practical sets made a lot of outside shots look flat and lifeless. The One piece adaptation, despite its flaws and limitations, felt much better. And Im a fan of both source materials. I can tell both adaptations were made with love and care, but its clear to me which one didnt fumble the actual important stuff. Im looking forward to see what they will bring into season 2. I hope they bring some Jim Hemson puppetry magic to bring Chopper to life. Netflix owe them as much after cancelling the amazing dark cristal age of resistance series after just one season. Puppet cinema needs a ressurgency, and id love them to use Chopper as a catalyst. Grogu from the mandalorian can only do as much. We need more adorable puppet mascot characters!

I kept up with production from the beginning since before the reveals of the actors and we were just getting rumors, choosing to stay neutral, or cautiously optimistic. As somebody who wants to get into film, I knew it was possible, and I was just waiting for something I love to be done right! And on top of that, I heard Matt Owens talk about the interview dinner he had with Oda-sensei, and what he talked about there, as well as what he talked about with fans as far as his One Piece opinions had me feeling like it was in the right hands. But it doesn't stop someone from getting nervous, huh? Like, I didn't even dare dream they'd have transponder snails! I was scared about the "Help me" scene, and how Arlong would look. I was concerned about how clunky the story telling would be in a live action adaptation with Don Krieg believe it or not (SO relieved he was casted just to die in 5 seconds) or if they would blast by everything so quickly. Like, are there nitpicks I have? Of course they are! But they aren't really worth really talking about! Because things I really like, like Garp, Koby, and Helmeppo, was a pet peeve for other people! You can't get it 100% perfectly aligned with how everybody feels about it, but this is the closest I feel like I'll ever see an adaptation get. They made the impossible, possible. Inaki (cannot do the ~ over the n, sorry, Inaki!!) was so perfect in this role, I cannot get over it, and that truly was the MOST important thing, I think. He NAILED it. I absolutely am stoked to learn anything new about Season 2. I want to know what Chopper looks like the most! Btw your "Is that... Crocodile?!" joke was SO GOOD and funny, I totally forgot about those two characters lmao!!! I've never seen your channel before; surprised this video got recommended to me witth 700 views, because your production and editing was so good I really expected you to be a bigger name than this. I hope for your success, especially with beating your depression, dude! Good luck! Good video!

Both mothers struggling with their sons, trying to help but having no idea how to do so. "This is me pretending to know." About Fay, I feel like I should point out that she didn't "tell the force her time is up", she was fatally wounded after she was stabbed by BOTH LIGHTSABERS AT ONCE, and the way she saved Obi-Wan is by passing the last of her strength to him as she was dying. She didn't use a lightsaber because she resolved things peacefully with the force. She actually revered Qui-Gon Jin because he had a purer connection to the force. Lastly, if Fay didn't die, I would completely consider her a Mary Sue.

What was Alonzo's original plan? Did he expect Hoyt to be someone whom he could corrupt on his first day? Did he plan to set-up and kill whomever was assigned to him for that day? Or, was this all improvised on the fly? He mentions playing chess at one point, but I get the sense that he is so far in the hole right now that he is running almost minute to minute in a desperate bid to outrun his reckless actions.
