Why can't you spray paint right outside the front door or screen door?

So that’s why my miniatures got mucked up that last time! I was spraying outside and the wind shifted and threw particles back at my models!

How do you magnetize tanks and other non-base models? Do you just glue a magnet to the bottom of the model?

These look just like the boxes I get at Sam's Club. They have 5 for $20 on the small ones. I forget the cost of the big one, but they do not have the middle sized boxes. I will have to go to JoAnn I guess.

if gw made better kits and did not try fuck their customers over cause they can they would not need any third party bits but since like an exampel. devastor kits used to only give one wep of each so gw made the bed for the third party bitz

A bit late but you can get metal cut to size from a lot of places, in the UK I ordered 1mm steel cut to size from rapidmetals. Wrapped in rubber edge trim, and with holes drilled in them and lifting straps secured with rivets - they're easy to lift in and out and won't cut me.

I've been using this system for my Tyranids for a few months now. Its great! 1x Small Box (Gaunts, Gants, Genestealers, Rippers) 2x Med Boxes (Lictors, Leapers, Winged Prime, Gargs, Haruspex, Trygon) (Rulebooks, Dice, Tape Measure, Extra Stuffs) 1x Large Box (Norn) I'm even working on using this system for my upcoming Death Guard army as well. Obviously I'll be using the same Med Box for my rules and dice so the following is in addition to that. 3x Small Boxes (Poxwalkers) (Marines) (Characters) 1(2?)x Med Box (Vehicles) 1 Large Box (Mortarion!)

I do pale skin by taking normal skintone and mixing in a bit of purple. Similar concept to what you have going on, but you don't have washes going everywhere

You wear a respirator for oil paints? Why?
@madlarkin8
@madlarkin8 9 күн бұрын
@@chimbo84 because oil and lacquer based airbrush paints require thinner which releases toxic fumes.

Such a useful video, I’m rather new to Warhammer and I have a big plastic carrying case that looks like an over sized tool box but I don’t have any magnetes and with the proportions of that thing, it would be hard to fit magnetic metal sheets in it to put magnets onto. But at the same time, I haven’t magnetists any of my models and so the some pieces of my models broke off and I’m getting frustrated about it. Thank you for making this video, it’ll help me out a lot with getting an actual good and safe carrying case, plus I know the products I need for magnetizing :)

Don't use Liquid Nails! I made 2 of the big boxes for my husband''s larger stuff and the flashing on the lid came right off even after placing weights on it for 24 hours. Turns out, Liqid Nails works best on porous surfaces like ceramic, etc. For metal and plastic, epoxy adhesive is best, like Gorilla adhesive or E6000.

I’ve used Tartarus termie arms for soooo many powerfists, since almost every model in the unit has 1 ranged weapon 1 power fist but they all have the option for double fist you get so many right hands that you can use on legionaries, raptors etc.

Another idea for the airbrush booth ventilation is to direct the extraction funnel included into a bucket with water in it (making sure it isnt touching the water) This should trap any particles that escape past the filter in the water.

Paint looked a bit splotchy and rough, right up from the basecoat. Did make the armour look weather beaten if that's what the intention was, but takes away from the shiny metallic look.

Ummmm this setup is still not going to capture all of the particles. I would advise against it, or at the very least make sure you have an industrial grade respirator while you are spraying. Unless you like lung disease and heavy metals from paint pigments being atomized and having those deposit themselves into your lungs.

I followed this and just noticed today theres mold growing where the liquid nails are. I think maybe I applied too much and moisture got trapped? Also, the metal sheet will come off if you put enough pressure on the bottom.

Took me two weeks but I managed to clean the containers with vinegar and TSP. Replaced the sheets with new ones and treated those with olive oil. This time I used double sided Gorilla tape, hope itll be enough!

Was following fine then got super confused. At 3:15 you randomly started talking about buying a box fan, then showed yourself outside, but said "when living in an apartment". Are you saying you need the box fan even with the airbrush booth, or is this part referencing something else? I thought the entire video was about spray painting when living in an apartment

Printing bitz, buying 3rd party is fair game. It's called competition, the life blood of capitalism. If Gw doesn't like it, they need to reduce the price of their aging product, or be destroyed by those who can produce equal quality for less than 50% of what they delusionally charge.
