This song was on the Principle of Evil Made Flesh-their debut album way back in 1994. It's a bit of a tinny mess, recorded on a 4 track as a lot of music was back then. They reprised it in 2001 on Bitter Suites to Succubi using much better, modern (digital) production values. This is actually version #3 born out of a sheer love for the work of Danny Elfman.

I had to read the lyrics in front of the class then play the song and explain the metaphors and similies used in the poetry. They cut me off halfway through the song. I'll never forget that day or these lyrics. I love Cradle of Filth music and am a friend of Paul Allender today. Truth is... I used to smoke pot with the English teachers son and he knew we would get stoned and listen to that metal and he hated it.
