Because 99.9% of older sights are awful lol. Usually they’re widened and cleared up so you can actually see what you’re shooting at

Not a big fan of the firing thing, but the acquisition was pretty recent, like in 2022 I believe. And since CoD titles go under 3 year development times, this game (most likely) started development in 2021 right after Cold War. I think the first proper Microsoft CoD title we’re going to see is probably going to be either this year or next year, since they’ll have started development after the acquisition

It is. BO6's PPSh fires at 952 RPM, which isn't unrealistic, since real ones fire between 900-1,000 RPM. With the Rapid Fire attachment, the BO6 one fires at 1,017 RPM. WaW's PPSh, meanwhile, fires at 1,250 RPM off the rip.

You can just, not use those skins

Here's an idea: Don't use the skins and blueprints. Simples. Others may still use them, but this is Modern CoD, so don't expect Activision to give two shits about "B-but muh mil-sim!".

I fired a full auto PPSh-41 a little bit (2 mags). I have to say the sound feels more accurate on WaW audio (I did have ear-pro on, but that's as close as you get to hearing it without ear dmg) If someone has a different opinion because you watched some YT footage of firing -> Remember: Any audio you hear on youtube will be distorted cuz it's high-volume. Notice how you don't have to wear ear-protection when listening to a video of SMG being fired? It won't just sound quieter on YT - but it also sounds different than if you're there IRL

It's already painful to see modern guns being butchered by skins and the gunsmith system but it hurts even more with old guns

they need to actually stick to the 90s aesthetic that they promised, the game feels like a bait and switch with all the fortnite looking cosmetics

according to jacob harley yes they were recorded from irl weapons. I remember Kevin Sherwood was in the video of the live recordings and im with u, i am biased and love the waw sounds.

Nah WaW sounds better. For reference, escape from tarkov uses actual firearms for their sound recordings and their ppsh sounds closer to the one from WaW than it does from bo6. Still say id prefer eft, but waw aint bad

No I agree. Don't get me wrong, B06's PPSH sounds great, but the firing sound is a little too heavy for an SMG IMO.
