Love your adventure and your genuine story. Your 40 has a diesel engine so it is a BJ40, 41, or 42 depending on what version of diesel engine. Lucky guy in my opinion as the diesel is the best 40. Looking forward to part 2!

I camp out in my 1975 FJ40 in California. It’s the perfect one-man over landing vehicle. And yes, earplugs for highway driving is recommended.

First off you needed to get a sleeping bag liner my freind cuz 0 degree rated bag ain’t gunna get you through the western United States winters comfortable. You’re doing it out of a car so you can afford to bring a 1 pound liner. Second get yourself a lighter. It is so fun to start a fire with a ferro rod but just for reliability get a lighter. And last invest in some nicer gear coming from Utah I might be a bit of a snob but just some quality gear will a really long ways. Looks awesome though congrats. Love the vid!

Truthfully, a life-time love match at your age, is short-changing yourself and McKenzie. It’s hard to breakup because you love her (and vice-versa) but also your entire families were committed to the relationship. That makes it even harder. You’re still figuring your life as an adult. Enjoy the ride and find that forever person in at least a couple of years. And……don’t drive at night. :)

Put your bacon grease in a jar and save it. The best oil ever for cooking anything. Plus bacon flavor girls with everything goes with everything. Seriously, it will change your breakfast and save so much time.
