Great looking postcards. The Crawford is my favorite but they are all great. Crawford was mentioned a lot in the book I just gone done reading about Cobb. Postcards are underrated and I don’t think they were appreciated when they were new.

I am all in favor of celebrating those great players. I’m just concerned of the accuracy and integrity of the records if they are going to kick players off the leader list. For instance they have Josh Gibson’s strikeouts at 11 for his entire career and they show 8 separate seasons him having not a single strikeout. That questions the integrity of the other stats in my opinion. Rogers Horsnby’s .424 Batting average is now 10th on the single season list. It’s just hard to believe the stats are totally vetted and accurate. But hey, I’ve never been too big of a stat guy anyway so maybe people won’t have stats as the most important thing anymore. That may be a good thing.

Great video Eric. Super postcards. They both look fantastic. I hope that Mickey Mantle starts to go down a little. It would give me a chance to get some of his cards. I agree that Jackie Robinson will probably surpass Mickey. As far a Josh Gibson being the all time single season and career batting leader. Good. He deserves it. All those players deserve their due. It is about time. Thanks for sharing.

Nice postcards, Eric! Cool to see the different issues from that first pennant year in Detroit. Postcards are growing on me. As a matter of fact, I picked up a couple of them recently of Negro League players who never had regular card issues. I agree with your take about Jackie Robinson overtaking Mantle as the it guy in the hobby. I see it with young people already. Just about all of them know Jackie Robinson but not many know about Mantle so there’s a shift happening.

Great choice with Lou Whitaker. I saw a video that, Trammell thought the reason why Lou wasn't in, he didn't have the best relationship with media, and didn't care much about the interviewing, which is dumb. Because he was great on field, and didn't commit any crimes, so should be in the baseball HOF, for sure.

Great items. I have all the Barry Sanders rookie cards too. Even the Oscar Mayer Police. But you just can't beat the 1989 Score. It's a classic card. The '89 Score is, pretty much the Ken Griffey Jr. of the junk wax football.
