Great story and I completely agree on sentimental value is so much more than $$ value. I forgot Gibraltar closed. Never made it there when I lived in SE Michigan.

Love the story. My dad passed away about 8 years ago and gave me a 67 Msntle. That Yaz rookie is a beautiful card visually but the sentimental value makes it a gem.

In October every day is gloomy in Detroit lol The sun disappears lol I remember Gibralter Trade center ! I didnt start collecting unil 2020 and I lived in Oklahoma then. I still collect the Tigers though. I will PC Miggy till the day I die. My daddy had over 1 million sports cards. He even had a real T 206 Ty Cobb !! He had everything ever released by the Tigers for years and years. My daddy passed also. Sorry to hear about your daddy. I save all Al Kalines that I have. I have his auto on a 1972 Topps of Kaline. Its awesome that you have that Yaz card and I love love the reason you have it and keep it safe !! Fantastic card too ! Great VR, thanks for sharing your story about you and your daddy !!

Really appreciate Lisa thank you! Thats crazy that your dad had all those cards and even a Ty Cobb! What a collector. I am sorry to hear about your dad as well, but you have great memories of him! That’s really great that you save all the Kalines and PC miggy. Those two are some of the best players to ever step foot on the diamond.

nice 60 Yaz. i'm surpried you didn't pick any of these players 1960'sh any years Al Kaline? 1980's or of Steve Yzerman? 1978 Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker? 78 Jack Morris surprised.

Thanks. Yeah all of those would have been great gifts. If I remember correctly, the selection back then with eBay was not as great as today. I was more in baseball cards as a kid rather that hockey. I would buy hockey packs from the 90s and just keep red wings so I had a lot of basic Yzerman cards since he was still playing at the time.
