There are so many errors on this video. Start with the aftermarket filter and the wrong oil that doesn't meet VW's 502 and 505 specs. If for some reason, you have engine problems, this video will haunt you down.

Every time I look at this pcv, this is typical over engineering from Germany lmao even a factory turbo Toyota just uses a tiny little ball in a screw in fitting its so much better and mazda 3s BK series the engineer should be fired that is under the intake manifold and super unaccessible it's so dumb

Hey, funny running into you again. I was thinking about doing this to mine, but wasn't too sure about how the 034 with meth bung install looked. I'd hate to have to replace my Racingline muffler, but after seeing your setup I think I'll avoid the 034 altogether. Since I have the DO88 charge pipe kit on mine, it comes with the same 1/8" NPT meth fitting on the charge pipe, near the boost sensor. I'm surprise your big turbo still takes the muffler since I know many are straight on that side of the compressor housing and the charge tubing just slips over it. Were you able to get a better seal on the dummy sensor?

For the crankcase breather hose reinstall around minute 7ish, have you had any issues since install when driving around? Mine I could only wiggle on most of the way and that's with using a grease to even try and help fit onto. After a day or two of driving it's split right down the center and needing replacement.

I did it on my 2018 Atlas 2 weeks ago and had no issues whatsoever. Not sure why you need to pump the oil with that suction, when it has a drain plug. Unless 2023 is different. Same VR6 engine.

If you have the GFB DVX installed, you need to use the other boost tap point to the right of the 034 logo. The elbow fitting is then quite close to the turbo inlet pipe.

If you get a racingline catch can you won't have issues with it capturing oil in the catch can as they have a baffle plate to prevent it. Racingline should be the only catch can you use on these cars. I'm using it 2 years and never got a drop of oil in it.

Even on my 2018 the process hasn't changed. Pretty standard VW oil change process. You have a German-made car, get used to buying unusual tools. I have many sockets and tools from owning BMW's, Audis and VWs.

Same concept for boost pressure test? How do you prevent air escaping from the PCV breather hose coming off the PCV?
@PinkysGarage7 ай бұрын
Many ways to go about it. On just a basic smoke test I don't find it completely necessary. I found that a rag or paper towel on a cap of PB Blaster, or Brake Cleaner works quite well to pressurize the system.

I like what you did. You used the VW parts bin, plus you have a two door GTI, not the unwanted four-door they have now. VW should make a two door version as an option like they do in Europe. Plus, also bring back the VR6 back as an option for enthusiasts like me who still love and want the VR6 engine. Owned an MK4 R32 😢 and lost it to a flood 😢. Nice video.
