@@seannyc88 check all the connections to make sure it is plugged in when you push the brake the selinoid should actuate if it does and it doesn’t release the shifter there is another problem also make sure when you push the brake power is getting to the switch but like I said before I am a backyard mechanic not a professional might need to seek more help

I think so it actually shot the brake pad backing out and totally annihilated the caliper! This truck I think the caliper got stuck had to wait till had the day off to fix

Unfortunately either your linkage is broken or the transmission has had it. check the fluid see if there is any in it ,and if there is, and it is more brown than red and smells burnt you probably gotta get a new transmission. Unless you feel like tackling it I suggest having it towed to a shop

MrSpeed696 transmission just got rebuilt back in April. It’s a 20010 spot trac. Interment panel says park AID is on I have no idea how to turn it off or on. I can’t fiend a switch or button. I’m thinking that might be why it doesn’t go in gear I’m wandering if anyone has herd of a similar issue?

Clayton Combest did you replace the brake switch by your brake petal because it sends power to the safety interlock switch

I did not dislike the video but have a simpler solution. This has worked for me on E series vans and Explorer. Turn key to accessory position ( one click before start position). From there-- put your foot on brake and shit. You should be able to put it in neutral. Then start the vehicle and put it in drive. Just be careful about sliding backwards in neutral if you are on a hill. Keep foot on brake.

Jason James , no it’s a rental from the flight school. I may try or take a few lessons in a helo but their way more expensive. I am thinking of buying a small plane though.
