Why is your slide not reciprocating and resetting the hammer? Also, tea cupping the gun isn’t good practice even if at close range. Nice shot taking the string out though!

I believe this is due to the .32 bullet. This proper caliber is 7.65. A .32 fires fine in the ppk but it does better with 7.65 due to the higher pressures which allows it to fully function. We just happened not to have any 7.65 on hand.

@@duanesmith6890 the ice is not even half a inch thick, it’s 45 degrees outside and from the angle we were at was one of the safest to shoot from. Only caliber I’d be afraid shooting .2 inch ice would be a .22. Look up the countless videos of people shooting 9 mil into thick ice.

I have a highly modified Mk2 hi-power . They really are a great all around gun in stock configuration, and so quick and easy to disassemble and clean.

Cigs can be sold on ebay for "Collecting purposes" only as far as i know. It has been a while but i was able to get modern Russian versions of WW2 Soviet army cigarettes.....They burned so bad on my throat it was ridiculous....I interpreted this as a period correct experience if you can imagine.

Are you sure it was modified to 7.62x54r ? Original used a bit smaller round, idk if puting bigger bullet wouldnt hurt the barrel

While I recommend ear protection while at the shooting range, the rifle was used by those who didn't have that luxury.
