This movie remains the most disheartening film I've watched; even after 30 years, it still evokes profound sadness in me.

I could not watch this movie in the theater, it’s too emotional. I had to watch it over a period of a week , stopping the film to allow myself to calm down. It is heart wrenching and real , Bless those souls who endured this

I have watched it numerous times and it still makes me horrified ,sad and angry all at the same time and people today spew these sentiments to this day they should be made to watch it study it and be taught what the world did to stop it and if you want to be part of the world community you don’t speak or go down roads like in the movie and if you do the world as a whole excludes you from all the good things in this world and the movie is a masterpiece in every aspect

I saw this with a Jewish family, the Sterngold’s, in theaters. We watched it in silence, the whole theater. Movie ended. No one moved. My friends parents cried. They were processing the fate of some of their ancestors. It was a profoundly sad moment. There was nothing to say. It was an honor to have experienced with them. I loved them. It was hard to see what their families had gone through, and they were descendants of survivors of such horrible treatment

Sad thing is stuff similar to this is happening today and it’s barely being acknowledged. Simply because no political agameda exists in these places where it’s Happening

This reminds me of what the Americans did back then to our people (Native Americans) how they wanted to kill us all and mistreated us Natives. Such a great movie and yet horrifying.

A lesson in history and a warning: don't think it can't happen again. Even today, we're seeing mentally unhinged leaders calling people "vermin" and declaring his own political enemies "Enemies of the People." This can happen again. And - like the Germans of the 1930s - the people will willingly walk right into it.

That scene of this young boy look back and with eye contact with his killer who knew he was snipping after him they had a conversation is so horrific .. a dialogue in silence between the victim the criminal who victimized him.

Human beings can be the worst species on earth, being brainwashed by political ideology, religious beliefs, racial superiority, and create new means of destroying another human being on massive scales by creating bombs, weapons of mass destruction based merely on killing others that they deem not fit to live. History has proven this over and over to this day
