When I saw the one-armed man get murdered, I shouted out "No!" He only had two scenes but I had already taken a shine to him. Then I remembered that Jews weren't the only ones who were persecuted. @@barbaramace5362 Relevant history is not being taught in our public schools. When I was in junior high, we had good quality teachers and got an excellent education because history was taught from the point of cause and effect. Yeah I visited dachau. My father is Jewish and his mother was a small chilled and her parents were able to send her and one of her other young brother to England before sh*t really hit the fan. Her oldest brother was a young adult and had a fiancé. Of course my great grandparents begged him to leave as well. But his fiancé and his family decided to stay. They just didn’t think something like this would happen to them. Sadly they were both sent to Dachau and he was killed. I only had a picture of him and I remember my grand mother telling me just a few memories he remembered about him. So when I was there and I remember seeing the pile of shoes that were there I broke down, wonder how exactly he died? If he was shot or gassed, sickness, starvation? We never found out exactly how he died. According to some records we found that he was there until year before the camp was liberated. And the amount of fear he must of had. If it was my grandmother since she was only about 7 at the time she would have probably been sent straight to the gas chamber since they only kept children 13 and up. I’m glad my grandparents didn’t wait for things to get worse and were able to at least save two of their children.

Never to forget, so that one will never forget. We must remember. Reality today however shows mankind didn't learn. Oh, and I found out just now Ralph Fiennes didn't win an Academy Award in the category for Best Supporting Actor ? His role as a nazi war criminal was imho incomprehensible and horrifyingly good. The Academy should be deeply ashamed of such an injustice. I will never be able to take them seriously again. Ever !

Ralph Fiennes's acting was so well-done, that one Holocaust survivor who was on set, started shaking uncontrollably because he looked and reminded her so much like the real Amon Goeth.

I think it was shocking that Bruno Gantz wasn't even nominated for his portrayal of Hitler in Downfall. A truly astonishing performance. It seems Hollywood struggles to tell the difference between actors and the real people they are portraying.

It blows my mind at the fact that this happened in recent history!!! . It is unfathomable that a human being can treat a fellow human being in the most atrocious way possible!! The nazi's treatment of the poor jews is a clear example of a world with no God!! Except for the devil himself. I was born in 1984 well past ww2 but seeing the reanactment through this movie I am forever scarred to know that this actually happened!! My heartfelt condolences to the millions of innocent jews and surviving descendants of those murdered during this dark time. Almighty God will see these evil men come judgment day.... Oh how terrible your punishment will be!!!

I have watched it numerous times and it still makes me horrified ,sad and angry all at the same time and people today spew these sentiments to this day they should be made to watch it study it and be taught what the world did to stop it and if you want to be part of the world community you don’t speak or go down roads like in the movie and if you do the world as a whole excludes you from all the good things in this world and the movie is a masterpiece in every aspect

Sergey Lavrov russia foreign minister said recently To an Italian newspaper that Hitler was juish , he knows better because putin his boss is too, same as stalin Lenin all communist leaders and zelinsky and 2 American presidents the son is still alive..the death toll of Christians murdered is many hundred of millions souls . Ww2 death toll 60 millions , juish communism killed 100 millions christians in Europe ( wall street journal) . Stalin killed 80 million Christian.his horrible gulags tortured enslaved to death 18 million Christians for 3 decades he created a cannibal island called it nazi. nsky. The visceral hatred of christians is unimaginable. USA federal bank fell in the hands of the juiz in 1917 ever since they control that country , in ww2 they had maps of the railways that lead those wagons to concentration camps but they never bombed them. Why ? Wizemann will answer you why
