Hi Josh, Thanks for the video. I love the "cars, eat your heart out" comment. What time of the year did you do your trip? I've heard the wind can be an issue - so it's better to go northwards as you did. It doesn't look that windy in your video. Thanks again. Regards, Mike.

What your company did this and how much did it cost. Were you supplied 3 meals a day as part of cost. I saw that you stopped at places to eat, was that additional? Did you have the same bike every day. I you mention one day you opted for ebike. Thanks.

They supply bikes, but you can bring your own. Of the bikes they supply, you can choose ebike or conventional bike. We rode the ebikes.

Josh, love the video.. We intend to take the cable car to the top, few photos and admire the view, then stop at Plan de l'Aiguille. and hike back down to Chamonix. Sadly, we are just passing through and this is one of the few days when we are not travelling.. I`ll let you know how we get on. Also, love the 360 degree camera that removes the selfie stick. Looks like a small drone is following you around..!!!

We are planning on doing this in June. Would you suggest an electric bike? Where did you rent from? Are there any spots that someone with a fear of ledges would flip out? lol Thanks!

What weeks of the year did you take this tour? (I'm just trying to judge the weather for a given month of the year.)
@jasoncrawford14894 ай бұрын
I see in the video it mentions @19:10 that it was usually cold and wet for "early August".
@JoshHooper3 ай бұрын
That's correct. It was early August. Seems like it's harder to judge what the weather will be in a given month these days.

Great video, very well made. Glad you had a nice holiday in our countries. About the weather: 2023 was one the worst summers in a century, but as you said, no bad weather only bad clothing (when you bike).

Love the video. It says you used your iPhone. Did you have it mounted or in your hand? We are going on a bike boat trip this summer and want to capture our trip. Thank you.
@betsytb6944 ай бұрын
Hi Dutch here, it is forbidden to cycle with your mobile phone in your hand, it can result in a fine of 159 euros. I hope you have a nice holiday this summer with hopefully better weather than 2023
@JoshHooper3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I didn't use a mount. I had the phone in my pocket and just took it out for a few seconds when I saw an interesting scene up ahead.

Good info, Josh. Thanks for sharing. Any info/advise on how I can intercom with my passenger while listening to music?
@JoshHooper2 жыл бұрын
Armando. Sorry, just saw this. BRP Connect may make that more complicated than you want. If you have the money, consider installing a dedicated GPS like the Zumo XT. I have made that work. It's less hassle than the BRP Connect, truth to tell--even once you get it going, using the TUUB or other technique, it's still a lot to mess with if you are trying to do everything through that one system. Or so I see it. I'd also advise matching communicators for the intercom. Sena or Cardo, I'd suggest.

HI Josh,thanks for the video and I agree, it is the best method for connecting phone. I have a question though, If I’m on a call, I can’t get out of the phone call screen to see the map. Do you have a solution for this? Sena headset connected to bike to make the call.
@JoshHooper3 жыл бұрын
Hi. sorry for the delay in responding. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. Did you try the BRP button (back of left handlebar). If not maybe a long push on the "joystick" in the lefthand control panel. If you solve it, I hope you'll let us know. Thanks for watching.

Why is it telling me to purchase maps
@JoshHooper3 жыл бұрын
Lenny, I'm not sure. BRP Connect is pretty funky. It may because you are trying to use one of the map apps--you have to pay to use those.

By the time you get going any friends you're riding with will be long gone. I plug the already unlocked phone in, put it in the glovebox, start the bike and go. There are no steps, I plug it in before or after starting the bike. Anytime you use the phone it has to be unlocked. For the BRP C app to open it first has to boot up and bluetooth pairing has to happen, then the app will open in the dash.
