I notice that there's a track carrying part of the guitar work. That's perfectly fine but my favorite fingerstyle playing is when the player can actually carry all of the parts at once, and not prerecord and mix in a backup track or use a echoing type machine to lay down background to play over. Yes, that's a skill in itself, but not what I look for in good finger style playing. My favorite is when a guitar player can walk in with his guitary and play it all. Beautiful Gretch.. Those are my favorite guitars for getting the best finger style tones in my opinion. I loved Chet on gretch guitars and I've played a few myself and loved them. I feel that Chet at least in part threw away his best tone when he moved from Gretch to Gibson. I feel his Gibsons NEVER sounded as good as the Gretches.

I had an old friend request that I show him a few chords. Several months he was playing like this. Amazing, thanks so much for the memories.

not too well. Little pitchy as you can tell. I play the other woodwinds, clarinet, sax, flutes (including Asian Bamboo) a little better.

Glad you like it. I'm debating whether to mic my amp or plug right into the Apogee audio interface. In this case it was the amp, It's a bit fuller sound

You'll notice a few edits as I had to redo sections due to a small slip somewhere. This is something so common with a Classical Guitar.
@mailadai4 жыл бұрын
I recorded this with a Shure SM7B mic into Apogee Element 24 audio interface with the gain on 80%. Still I find the volume a little low.

@mailadai4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ashish. I just started recording on an acoustic nylon since I got a decent mic (a Shure SM7b) otherwise the sound quality wasn't too good.

Sounding great. I like the arrangement. Simple and elegant. As a side note might I mention that suddenly remind me of Mark Knopfler in both your look and your style of playing..
