I didn't think the lucerne did pierce damage in ER. I remember being disapointed that it was just a weaker halberd now. Did they path it later?

I believe it’s always been straight pierce damage in ER. It just really comes alive with high Dex and the right talisman set up in my experience

so rare to have a 1v1 when ever i invade its always multi ppl my favorite was when i faced two ppl using rot arrows with the multi shot crossbow i was about a goner im a samurai with dragon magic , i back up around a corner and healed caught them in a choke point got them both with one bite

Loved the lucerne in demons souls as a faith build. The holy weapons would slowly heal you plus and anti magic incantation would absolutely destroy mage builds. I have a dex build and didn't know it got a A rating in dex. Thanks to your vid i might pick it up again

I don’t have any spare Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones for it is all. I don’t dupe or get drops so I’m stuck with a little bit less damage until I get more 😁

I’ll fix it before the next video. My OBS settings got reset a bit ago and I think I messed up resetting my mic. I appreciate comments like this so I can make better videos in the future!

Every build should be able to inflict some sort of status effect. Frost is great to lower defenses, poison/rot is good for pressure, and bleed is great for laggy players. The rest are more build specific but can still be strong or even broken on the right set up

I’m on Xbox, and for level ranges here’s what I typically do for invasions: SL12 +5/+0 for the burg/parish SL40 +11/+3 gets you invasions in the depths, blightown, sens, anor londo, forest, and sometimes the catacombs SL50-60 +15/+5 for anor londo, catacombs, dukes archives, demon ruins SL100-125 for dlc areas Hope this helps!

I love your content and video style! I found you because of this guide and since I’ve watch a lot of you other videos and put to use all your tips for my own invasions and I’m not great but I’ve been having a ton of fun and winning quite a bit more, so thank you so much! Would you ever consider doing a different video series where you watch and analyze invasion clips that your audience send in to you? I’ve seen other content creators do something like that and it was very informative and entertaining and your commentary is always so fun.

I’d like to get better at invading but I don’t know how to hard swap very well. Is mastering how to hard swap basically mandatory for higher success rate on invasions?

It’s not mandatory but it definitely does help being able to change gear on the fly. Either forces opponents to use a different tactic or can counter a specific build. I don’t hardswap all the time, especially if I’m running a themed build

I try to tell people to keep their ash of war a secret until the killing blow. That is if you have a weapon where you can swap it. This way because it's a secret they won't know what's coming until they're low on health.

If you want to make this build even saucier, use the Carian Sorcery Sword as your main hand weapon on a Dex/Int build. You get powerstancing, dagger parry, and sorcery casting on a single set up. Also, the CSS has increased critical rating so your ripostes are still powerful.

Should've used the rapier instead of estoc because it has a higher crit modifier, even if it is a bit shorter.

@@axofrogl I used it here and there. Estoc is just my favorite thrusting sword, it’s R2 is a nice mixup. Frozen needle was interesting to use as well!

I’ve been wanting to try this for a while! I love the historically accurate looking weapons & i’ve read that this dagger gets the same parry frames as the buckler, not sure if it’s true but super cool if so!! this is what the parrying dagger should have been, but I prefer the look of this one so i’ll take it :3

Iirc dagger parries get 1-3 less parry frames than the buckler does so they’re pretty close. I agree this weapon looks sick! Plus dagger/weapon parries always look so clean when they land

@@vince_9643 nobody online seems to be able to agree but some are saying it’s better than other daggers! i’m not good enough at parrying to give it a fair test though 😆

@@pvt-part it should behave the same as all the other daggers unless I’m mistaken. I do think it’s better than most when used as a parry tool if you plan on using a crit focused build. Damage isn’t bad on it especially when paired with a rapier
