The squid is fine frozen then defrosted but the herring and skippy once frozen and defrosted i wouldn't call fresh. It goes soft and mushy. Still good but fresh is caught and used without freezing it.

Well it was local and days old , hell of a lot fresher than servo bait

Thought the boat must have broken down bro, been waiting for a clip for weeks !
My Lowrance HDS did similar and it was the battery. They are heavily dependent on good clean power. Once i had run engine for an hour or so it would turn on cause it had heaps of power from the engine charge.
@Saltfix4 күн бұрын
I’ve tried a new battery and no joy but I suspect the cable could be a bit of an issue, going to cut a length off it and see if that works

Before buying a new Fishfinder or battery run a multimeter over your connections & check them for corrosion. Then, if no fault is found, take the FF to a Lowrance supplier & get them to check k using their power supply. You will then know if it is a damaged FF or if your cabling is suspect. I've been there & done that. Ended up having to buy a new Fishfinder. Did it come back to life? If yes try a multimeter or use the services of a mobile auto electrician. 😃

@@Saltfix I have a feeling I might know what's wrong with that - the brightness may have been turned down. Try just quickly pressing the power button again, once it goes black, maybe 2 or 3 times. I had one of these units myself, and that caught me out a couple of times

Pay attention to where your shadow is, if it's over the water you're likely not gonna get a lot of bites because the fish see something lurking over them. Use the sun's position to your advantage
