so many cost effective little upgrades that all help 👍🏻🎣 also after spending many hours on your boat I won’t be owning another boat with out the boomer anchor that things almost magic 🎣👍🏻✅

I’ve had that decking material on my boat floor for years. It will last forever!
@SaltfixАй бұрын
@@officialWWM I’ve seen the cheap stuff peeling left in the sun but I think mine will be ok for a few years
@officialWWMАй бұрын
@@Saltfix yes, the sun can heat it up and reactivate the glue. That’s why it’s important to make sure the surface is extremely clean before laying it down, especially on the edges. I run around the edges with a thin bead of sikaflex to help prevent this and to stop water getting under it. Most of the pros do that during installation.

Tilted my transducer down like you but the bloody Caribbean reef runner is notoriously hard to get a clear reed at speed, even when doing this! See you at the boat show again early Friday like last year?

i like the extra bracket you have add, you gave me an idea to increase the length of the hull, is worth it did you see a different with riding the waves became smoother?
@Saltfix8 күн бұрын
@@Deepblue896 making the hull longer will make your boat plane better and longer means less affected by chop .

Maybe try adding a y-splitter (connector) to the deckwash /live tank setup. Get one that has a flow regulator tap on each side, then you don’t have to disconnect or reconnect anything, just turn a little lever. You could actually run both parts at once, you’d just have lower pressure. Depending on the quality you want, they’re only $5-$30. 👍
@SaltfixАй бұрын
Yeah I though about that, Live bait tank dosent need much pressure at all. Cheers

Awesome info and ideas mate. Cheers. Recently moved to the West and heading to the boat show Friday. Been looking at Top Enders as I want to flick the fly a fair bit.. even for small stuff. Don't anticipate heading too far offshore (getting a bit long in the tooth for bouncing around for hours on big trips) or going out when it's too rough. I'm just a bit unsure whether the open boat style will work as opposed to a cuddy style... the water here seems to be lumpy quite often. Any thoughts or experience in an open style over here? Cheers 🍻

@@outdooraussie6355 Gday mate. Depends on where in the west,? If around Perth it’s more often windy than not and for me I want some protection .but. Fly fishing is tough with any super structure . I’d say have a good look around at the show. Talk to people, get a feel for what you think you need before spending. I’ll be at the show Friday at the Hitech marine stand , come say Gday 👍
@outdooraussie6355Ай бұрын
@@Saltfix Thanks Scott. Will do. I'm about 2 minutes from where you were fishing with your Kiwi Rush-Gang mate on the rocks the other day... so more often than not would be launching and fishing around there... 😁🎣

@SaltfixАй бұрын
@@mattharvey5392 Gday mate mine is 18x9 but had to pay extra to get the roof raised so I could run a 3.6m roller door. Boat wouldn’t fit in the 3m doors and I didn’t want sliding as you can’t seal the bottom

I found a boomer diving, cleaned it up and sold it for $400 LOL. I think they are great. But i dont want a breakaway anchor while diving so i use a Sarca.

Out of interest with the one you found what let go? was it a shakle or broken rope. ive had mine four years and it always comes back even in gnarly terrain.
