This is the most bizarre looking train I have ever seen. Full size locomotive pulling a rake of toy carriages, complete with bat ears!!

@@intercityrailpal well not a US local, but came across these cars via the VRF cams. Seriously ugly train, that's my take on it.

Where did the second set of them go
@Amtrak458
@Amtrak458 3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I'm not sure. The only information I have is where these trainsets were going which was to Anaheim, CA. Presumably the other sets will be scrapped as well.

I only once in my life can remember departing runway 26 at Burbank which was when I was 5 years old or younger. All the other times I remembered I departed runway 15

I was quite young when I took this but it's still the one and only time I've taken off of RWY 26. When we pushed back and went the opposite way, I figured we were taxing to RWY 15 a different way but then we lined up on 26. And on a 300 which in itself was a rarity at BUR.

Do you know if they use both FRS and GMRS radios on site? I know the trains have FRS hand held, but from photos the Central station tower uses Midland GMRS base stations.

I thought it was properly Signalled? Some dodgy workings in this video, trains just following each other......
@Amtrak458
@Amtrak458 3 жыл бұрын
Paul Duncan Often times following closely behind other trains is necessary to keep the train traffic flowing. They do their best to capture the realism but this is miniature. It’s not going to be perfect. This is a better operation than most other railroads of the same gauge.

Which Amtrak engineer in this video retired?
@Amtrak458
@Amtrak458 4 жыл бұрын
I don't want to post their personal name but they worked for a number of years out of the San Luis Obispo crew base working the Starlight to and from Los Angeles and occasionally north to San Jose. During the few years leading up to this retirement video.
