How is that light getting a Neutral? L+N into the first switch, then 3 switch conductors between the next switches, and a feed from the last switch back up to the light..

Probably being really dense here, but I don't understand how doubling the length of the circuit is connected in parallel? surely if the circuit length were just doubled, so connected end to end, the circuit is series?

We've got that sort of bulb in our kitchen hanging lights, ours cost £15 each 😮😮😮😮😮 Can't eat at the breakfast bar they overhang either as I'm too tall 🤦 Bloody wimin and their needs 🤣

That's somewhat counter-intuitive - presumably a very long string of tiny LEDs implies little or no lossy electronics ... and low power LED lamps are often more efficient as well as longer-lived... EDIT:- just spotted the "amber glass" bit ...

That is a bulb for effect rather than practical use.
@ge27193 күн бұрын
it's not really a g, after theygot rid of regular tungsten filament bulbs the old scale became irrelevant so they made a new scale that essentially just the most efficient end of the old scale stretched out. it's a 2.5w bulb. at that point the efficient or inefficiency of an led bulb were talking fractions of a watt difference.

A few months ago you posted a video saying that level2+3 2365 exams were going to be ended which would stop adults from becoming an electrician as t-level courses would be for 16-19year olds. Is this still accurate?

We were taught CRIPPLER in college to distinguish which polarity test you would do first.
Would the adjacent property also have 2 cables going into the cut out? Or could they have 1 suggesting they are at the end of a loop but could be forgiven for thinking they’re not looped as they can only see one cable?

How come when its three phase and neutral,its just a 3 pole and not a 4 pole that is the requirement
@travoltasbiplane15515 күн бұрын
Because there's a risk if the neutral fails to make. It's generally not required on installations requiring three phase because it's accepted that the switch is not for use by ordinary personas.

it's there any special procedure for using the line breaker? not sure if it was just a coincidence but I used the one in my beaker box so I could remove a dodgy circuit off of bell wire that someone had put in years ago, and it seemed like certain electronics around the house broke shortly after. not sure if I was supposed to turn all the other breakers off to prevent the possibility of a power surge? or if it was just a coincidence
@gaborkucson10 күн бұрын
Probably just a coincidence, but it's a good practice to remove all loads before operating the isolation switch.
