"It's only me, my crosshair, and the enemy" (They did however get the killfeed, and the announcements) In a game, they were down 7-15 (match point to the enemy), so they were out of contention for the win, their best outcome was to win 8 rounds in a row to tie 15-15. What WarOwl found, is that the HUD and the TAB screen couldn't distract him from the game, so he had to focus on the game, and due to that (and probably a bunch of other factors), they managed to tie in the end. He concluded that out of the many alterations he tried on CS:GO, this was the one which genuinely made him a better player overall.
