as a sova and Kay/o main i have 2 tips for both agents: first sova: Don't always use your shock darts for post plant or retake, and never buy sova drone on pistol round. For Kay/o: Kay/o's right click flash pops after 5 meters, you can use this info to make popflashes harder to dodge than pheonix flashes they need to use their ears just to dodge it. And lastly Kay/o's Molly deals significantly less damage to yourself and teammates so when you want to peek unexpectively; Throw your molly on the ground to the angle you wanna peek then run through your molly to catch enemies off guard.

fade and sova are really more about info and playing on that info, breach and kayo are really about playing with duelists helping them initiat with breach being the extreme kayo does have his knife for info but it also helps a lot to push in a sentinel's util, and then gecko and skye are a sort of hybrid with skye being more about info and gecko being the definition of the "RANDOM BULLSHIT... GOOOO!" he does give info with his flash and ult but the wingman is the big focus helping for fast plants, skye seems like an info initiator but the flashes don't give that much info and yes she could be considered a more info focused initiator but she plays a lot with her flashes, playing with the duelist. All and all while they're all different in playstyle you still have to play with your team mostly and imo it's the role that needs a mic the most, but consider this when you build a team going maybe for a sentinel with more info gathering tools like cypher or kj when you have a breach or yk just having someone to check sites like a drone or a dog

Little tip for anyone else inspired to learn the role: breach is probably the worst initiator for bronze-diamond, as he cannot follow up on his own until in most cases. If you want a selfish solo queue style, I would highly recommend kayo or fade if you don’t mind learning a few tricky lineups. If you want to play with the team, then go for skye probably.

as a plat 1 skye main i will say that playing with skye flashes is all about timing and hardly anyone can dodge a skye flash in close range if you time it correctly and it's good for info as well and one more when players keep shouting at you for heal from literally other side of map and you are in fight with enemy a little solid abuse is great to relax there nerves 😂

Initiators are fun but my favorite is sova. I love using lineups to trigger or scare the enemies. If i plant a off spot you already know im playing lineups
