What about other dogs approaching them? My dog is perfectly trained, and I am responsible, but it's not the case for a lot of dog owners, once we were almost attacked by one medium size dog and a small dog who pulled so hard on their owner that made him fall down and almost got loose, we ran, but what to do in these cases? I don't take my Great Dane out that much because I am afraid he is going to get in trouble due to irresponsible owners.

Now that my boy Sisco-Ray is 6 months old I’ll be using some of these heel techniques that I’ve not implemented yet at this stage. My boy has the audible and hand sign commands down flat but he’s not making eye contact as much as I feel he should by 6 months of age but he has been increasing his eye contact for sure. I want eye contact upon his name call, even though he’s taking commands once I say his name, just no eye contact, that nose stays down or he stares at the passerby(while still taking commands, is this strange?)…

ASPCA should include singing them into the crate. 😂 That was lovely.

In all my years with dogs, 36 of them, I've never heard of a tether being used. Yes, a leash but this tether looks to be a coated cable with a chest harness that also seems to control the front legs and turn the body. I now have a 97 day old Great Dane puppy and I can see this coming in very handy, thank you! Your videos have great and useful information and I appreciate your style. #naturalstatecitizen

Hi David, this makes a lot of sense! Oddly, my first dog was very well behaved because it was not my dog, but my ex's, so I didn't feel as much attachment towards her (I trained her dog). With my new puppy, which is mine, I find myself letting him get away with more stuff. I have to retrain myself to enforce discipline the way I used to.

I hope to have a Basenji one day so I will definitely get back to this video once I do. I just want to either have a big apartment or preferably a house. Fingers crossed for a house. I found Basenji when I was looking for dog breed that are better for people with allergies and I am aware that they are not hypoallergenic but from everything I saw they are better for people with allergies and I keep falling in love with the breed more and more the more pictures on IG I see and more vidoes on YT I see.
