How much renewal energy is generated in Iceland? Obviously Iceland has a low population density and the power generated is sufficient for them plus some to export.
@matthewbaynham628610 сағат бұрын
For a fuller picture of the problem you should be comparing Iceland (or Greenland) with Hawaii. Because Hawaii has all the geothermal opportunities that both Iceland and Greenland have however whilst both Iceland and Greenland take advantage of those opportunities Hawaii just prefers to pollute the planet. Hawaii not only has all those geothermal opportunities but also plenty of solar, wind, wave, and hydroelectric potential but the problem is political will, the US just wants to keep polluting the planet.

Hey NASA, why don’t you go get the technology hiding in the black projects? They are light years ahead of you.
@Starfish214513 сағат бұрын
Humans are still using 100-year-old technology to get themselves into space. It’s ridiculous. The black programs know how to get billions of miles away from earth. They’re just holding onto the technology for their own use.

Us government pulled the plug on NASA right after moon landing. It's been low earth orbit since. this should’ve been done 30yrs ago. This needs to be high on the priority list. Stop buying tanks and submarines and invest in space travel. Time is running out

I love that the experience with the miners was an opportunity to try out different strategies with families and miners. We have lots of other people whose experiences that can inform how people cope with isolation, so we don’t have to use actual astronauts as our first test situation. 1) what have psychologists and neuroscientists learned about the effects of solitary confinement that can inform our plans to help astronauts cope with extreme social isolation? 2) what have psychologists and neuroscientists learned about the social isolation during the pandemic that can inform our plans? 3) what have psychologists and neuroscientists learned about the experience of families who have a member of their family in jail/prison that can inform our plans? 4) How are we crowdsourcing the data gathering process so that we can learn from people with real-life experience vs only academic data?
