For t16: - % less life recovery - less block chance - less cooldown of skills. - Avoid poison Everything else you can run, but it depends where you are at in the build. For example, if you don't have a lot of damage or defences then you will want to avoid other map mods that will kill you

It definitely can be at first, but if you break it down into smaller chunks it becomes a lot easier. For example, if you want your minions to do more damage, you search for things that give them more damage. Over time you just get better at knowing what is better than other things.

Also, I love playing this game because it is very challenging. Not a lot of games do that for me.

Heyo, I'm not sure what's preventing you from completing them so I can't really answer what the solution is. But I generally play it safe, but I also expect to use at least 1 portal per map

If you mean damage, you can have only 5 million dps and clear the map+ boss. Defensively I am living most things except critical strikes

Hello, a question like that will have me replying to your comment several times as I think of stuff so I'm sorry for the spam. You'll be happy to know that the build is versatile in that if you must, you can swap to a brass dome. Of course, you lose a significant amount of damage but some times doing less damage and actually surviving is good. Examples are an expensive map with lots of crit multi. This league we are hoping to get around that with tattoos however. Dps wise I'm going to be honest and say this league I feel we really want tank for all the t17s, and so we are doing a lot less damage than I'd normally aim for. That being said, my pob does include tree/gearing for a dual wield set up that focuses solely on damage and can reach 50m on late game. Mitigation seems quite strong but also temperamental. I can tank ghosted exiles in t17 with delirium, granted I do use molten shell to do so, but then things like Minatour can kill me. Regardless its still one of the tankiest characters I've ever made, and I've spent a long time trying to figure out if there's a better way to be tanky and not lose damage and couldn't find it my self, but if anyone knows a way please do tell! Mandatory stuff for the build is indeed 100% chance to poison but there's a few ways to get this and all of them are very easy to obtain. Other than that there's not really anything mandatory, like, I even started this character from day 1 act 1 so can just do that. That being said if you want the character to feel playable rather than shit, you want about 5k life and a +2 wand and +2 helmet. You can go lower life as you get more damage and survival.

Some do and don'ts, well always make sure your animate guardian has 45% additional resistances including when he is not in range of purity of elements and necromancer ascendency if you take it. This is because curse+exposure does happen. The good news is the AG gear is fairly common and/or easy to craft so its not the worst thing if he dies. Avoid doing t17s with union of souls, elemental penetration, massive crit multi. Also avoid taking ag to uber maven and maybe uber sirus too if inexperienced.

Overall I've always preferred this skill over any other even if it doesn't share the same power of say coc dd or mana stackers. In ssf also the ceiling is significantly lower than in trade, and so it caps out around 20m dps with a good ehp, or 50-60m with enough ehp to play and die a few times. In trade it's way different, you can easily reach 100m on a 100 divine budget, 200m+ on the high end maybe even more. I'm not even sure if poison is the meta for trade league, it's probably not but in ssf it absolutely is.

I am also considering switching body armour but I'm not entirely sure if losing the added chaos damage from the covenant will be too much of a damage loss. Do you know of any alternatives or is the covenant really the best for this build?

Oh yeah and I run Rumi's Concoction for more block but again it might be overkill

Heyo, unfortunately this isn't something viable in SSF and so I am not too familiar with how this looks. I can recommend looking at PoE Ninja for this. Make sure to only follow builds which swords have all of the following: +1 socketed gems, socketed skills deal 40% more damage, and increased critical strikes, and increased critical strike multiplier. Faster attacks is acceptable in place of bench/veiled minion attack speed. Sword must have 1 of any of these too: Brutality, Multistrike, Ruthless, or Melee physical damage. Anything less than this is not a finished product.

Update: I just checked poe ninja for builds that I would follow, and couldn't find a single one for this league :( This is a profile I found from last league: poe.ninja/builds/affliction/character/편통통이/Affliction_Necro?i=1&search=uniqueitems%3DThe%2BSquire%26class%3DNecromancer%26skills%3DSummon%2BCarrion%2BGolem%2Bof%2BHordes The downside is this build uses tech from last league, the only difference is the spectres and charms give him auras so you have to work around that, but this is what I consider to be the peak of carrion golem.

Lab is painchamp, I hate it. But you can spam merciless lab, or if you have any offerings just do those. But yeh gl, probably the worst part about any build in SSF imo :P

Poison is easy to get with either dendrobate or a pair of gloves with chance to poison support, or a 5/6 link with ctp. Focus on harvest reforge abyss jewels. I think Wither is too strong of a damage multiplier to pass on, so even if you don't go poison chaos is still obsurdly strong

Physical = tankier minions, slightly easier gearing (until end game). Tank set up doesn't get enough damage for it to be considered viable imo. For dual wield wand it's still really good, can do about 35 to 45m on proper ssf gear. 10-15m damage at best. Can get more damage if you sacrifice defence but I think this is a waste of time and should just do dual wield instead. Poison is much squishier minions (some times an issue) but a lot of free damage, making the tank set up much more viable as you won't be hitting stuff with wet newspapers. About 45-55m on end game ssf dps set up, or 15-25m tank set up.

@@Cat_vs_Jad gotcha, I will start as poison as dendrobate/covenant isn't that rare to get this league and if I stumble around with enough currency to make a +2 chest with a adorned or something like that I might switch to phys if I feel that survivability of the minions are too low, or poison with dual wield of whatever but time will tell. Hey Chrollos, I think I have seen you on POE Ninja! As for SIS or UID sword, I have looked into it and according to my calculations a +2 wand does end out being more damage

However it is not as simple as that, there are some factors to consider which might make the sword better in some scenarios. If you don't need chance to poison, you could go all in on dps ghastly jewels for example. The other issues is fitting in the Envy aura some how, we are already really tight on aura reservation as it is, but it is possible on the DPS set up. Also, the wither is already coming for free from necro ascendency

Also we have to consider that the wands allow us to get another spectre, and in some cases an additional zombie which is quite a lot of extra damage on its own. As it stands, poison zombies have much lower health than phys version, so you are right in we will have issues with their life. Also we can get attack speed on wand, which is really good for life leech

And finally, the sword is excellent for people who don't want to take this build to the extreme as it is quite easy to obtain

@@Cat_vs_Jad I usually went spell suppression and was scaling both armour and evasion with double wands but no block, 3 large 3/35 clusters with 5 medium iirc. It was pretty much a glass cannon, it could take a hit but as the dps went thru the roof it was rarely an issue since there was never anything on the screen that was alive lol. I think you are correct here, wand is probably the play for the levels and attack speed for both you and your minions. I guess a variant could be double wands with dual wield block, I've never tried that earlier.

I have 3 different trees. Your first one should be about finding maps and kirac, and then you go into crafting. I specced Abyss early to get chance to poison jewels, and then harvest to reforge them. After that, your trees can be whatever you like. I keep one for MF, one for boss rushing, and 1 for crafting at the moment.

If you are ssf you take whichever one you get. In trade, I would run pob on it. I think auls or ashed may be better but only because it effects zombies and golems but idk the numbers as it's not something you could ever expect to get in ssf

@@tabl3s Thanks! Yep I have a +1 all minion with 5% life on block, avoid ailment, and 50% minion damage from 3.22. Luckiest craft I have ever made. That being said I think instant leech is going to be even stronger depending on the situation.

Thanks! I have made some changes to it (check my poe ninja profile PsnCGolemLogin to see what im doing. Will do a video later in the week. Basically the changes are I got 2 pieces of suppression so I didn't need to do the big long detour to ranger area on the Week 1 tree. Also we opted to divine blessing our aura early, I noticed stone golem was dying with level 1 guardians blessing with the new ascendency changes, so didn't see the point in having reduced aura effect.
