This spot gets pounded from spring till fall--- You have to put lots of time in here to catch any decent keepers, or any walleyes--- We used to wade out to the island to fish the current side, but the island has vietually disappeared, and almost washed away now---

You want to catch 20 + pounds carp go to north shore chicago river by the Lincoln wood area. I got a really good spot my PB in that area was 28 pounds and there’s some mirror carp in there too

I started going there about 4 years ago, and I hit it a handful of times per year. It gets a lot of pressure normally, and I'm surprised no one was by the dam. There's always at least 2 or 3. A lot of different species can be caught below the dam: LMB, white bass, bluegills and Carp. In the spring there's crappie near the damn and once in a while you'll see someone with a walleye or flathead. I even caught a couple warmouth near the shore a couple years back and the local concession stand posted a pic of a guy with a good northern. I think it was last fall or maybe last spring. Those channel cats and drum predominant in that area. Thanks for the video.

@karlakoenig9248 that's actually the only other area I've fished on the Fox so far. Directly below the dam is extremely pressured but further down river I've done well with smallmouth bass, carp, quillback, and catfish

Here in North Carolina the temps have been up and down, all over the place the past couple of weeks and I can't get anything to bite a moving/swim bait. The only thing I've had luck with is finesse rigs, and even that has been tough.

New subscriber from North Carolina here!!! What a great lunch break fishing trip!!! I too am a bank angler, fishing mostly neighborhood/public ponds, mostly ultralight fishing. Looking forward to checking out some of your past videos and watching your videos that come out in the future. I have had good success using the Zman micro finesse and Mule Fishing baits this past year, check them out if you haven't already done so. The Zman micro wormz and Mule Fishing burro bug have caught me the most. Also for a small 2" paddle tail the Berkley 2inch power swimmer was killer for me, when they are chasing minnows. Tons of bass and big bluegills caught on that bait this year.
