Bringing home a Huge 7m old male I'm going to name Mayday. Hopefully he'll be able to eventually be my service dog.

I know this was posted 10 years ago 🥹 but Diesel being shown just a week later after some work, gave me butterflies. Nothing better than an unengaged dog doing a 180° turn in just a week. They want to please us but we must relay what we need 🦋🐾🦋

Good training but these videos never show what you do to correct such as if getting a dog to wait and it doesn't wait

How does the leash attach? So confused?! lol. Need help
@unleashedpotentialK924 күн бұрын
This is for remote training. There is no leash that attaches to this kind of collar. It is a stand-alone.

Wonderful lead-follow! Your dogs are so cute! Do you have a video explaining what it is you do with the ball-stick? I saw you working with them with it, but not sure what/how you do it.

It makes me sad how KZbin is used mostly to gain $ value! We go from him not paying attention to having attention! Most of the info is set to invite others to turn to trainers when in fact you have to keep the work going but the tips on gaining there attention is so hard to get

I have been using thisas a handy reference book kzbin.infoUgkxGQVgV21bQ7B9b9duQ1ByImyT9xHbjOKq . I read through the book and enjoyed the little glimpses of examples. I love that this author believes in rescue dogs. The tips and training has been invaluable and gave me moments of.... "how simple why didn't i think of it" so it's been a great tool. Thank you!

😆 Sure! Id say it depends what the dog was eating or drinking beforehand and what part of your face. 🤣

It would drive me crazy to have my GSD walk and stare at me, he needs to be aware of his surroundings, yes aware of me and continue heeling, but I've been almost run off sidewalks before by dogs that aren't watching where they're going. I appreciate your work, but they have intelligence enough to watch the handler plus their surroundings. My 11 month old GSD walks too fast for me (I have a replaced left hip) plus when he sees somebody he knows or talks nicely to him he will RUN to them and I have to just drop his leash or he'll drag me. He knows "easy", "house" means go to the front porch, "in your yard", "sit", "stay", "come", "no bite", "kisses", "hungry", "water", "fetch", "release"...he's intelligent for sure but he's a puller and he's reactive to out of his yard noises and tries to run to the front porch🤪.

Ears blasted with intro music. Turned down volume. Talking starts; super quiet. Turned volume back up. 😒 Great video though!

This video is misleading. In the first video no training treat pouch a longer lead and outside. In the second video a training pouch on the trainer side shorter lead and inside in a controlled environment. I would not trust this video
"If you can get your dog to pay attention wherever you go, no matter where you are there's really no behavioural problems" - I have always said this and you have proven me right to those who have disagreed with me. My kinda trainer!

We clicker train and shape the retrieve “hold” . We just use one word “fetch” it means both. Then we overlay leash, slip and remote for the -reinforcement. As soon as the dog does the desired behaviour we remove the mild discomfort. Then we click and reward to release the dog. Verbal or a clicker, we use both. If we can be of service please let us know. You might love our UPX community membership. Hope this info is helpful. 🙏🏻

Good video Duke. Can you give me some advice on how to get my dog to not being aggressive with other dogs? I have a “shock” collar that helps and he’s getting better but if I let him off the leash he will attack another dog…which he’s done. I can’t trust him around other dogs unless he’s on a leash. Dog parks are totally out of the question.

Duke uses a fox 40. Or a gun dog whistle that is a cup to make the sound travel. Pealess is best for our cold winters.
