Hi Annie, always great when I see you have posted a new video. Your kitties seem very at home and relaxed with you after such a short space of time. They are gorgeous! Its funny you have not been able to settle into a book as I am having this problem. I have started one then it didn't seem to flow, so started another and this one seems stuck. I don't know if its just me at the moment and cant relax to do things or indeed read, or whether the books are just not too well written. Its annoying when you have high hopes for a good book and then it lets you down. I wish my home and library space was nice and relaxing and tidy like yours, makes such difference. I suppose having far too many books in such a small home doesn't help. I always thought one couldn't have too many books, but have proven myself wrong. I have roughly 25 thousand and that's a lot for a 1 bed bungalow. All year I've been trying to declutter the place in general and of course part with some books, but with my health so bad I do a bit then weeks go by, its very frustrating. To make a difference and have them all shelved, realistically I need to donate thousands of them, but that's so hard when you are such a bookworm, which do I part with. I do t read as much as I'd like these days and that is something I really need to get back into. How many books do you have and are they all in the one room? Keep the videos coming, really appreciate them. Take care xx

Hi Gemma, always lovely to see your name pop up in the comments and read your messages 🥰✨ Thank you for the kind words about the kittens, they truly have settled so quickly, in which i am grateful for. Knowing that they feel happy, safe and secure is what matters to me! I seem to be okay diving into books now.. not sure what was happening but as soon as i finished reading 'We play ourselves', i think it unlocked something in my brain again as i hadn't finished a book in a while. I do hope you manage to get back to reading again soon too! 25 thousand is SO many books! my goodness you certainly have your own little library going on. I find that quite magical but can understand the overwhelm too ✨ I am sending you lots of positivity regarding your health, i genuinely feel for you (it's horrible, scary, heartbreaking & frustrating when you can't rely on your health). I have 530 books, i have a catalog of them (because i can't help myself but be organised 😂). I'd say yes, they're all in my living room space but in all honesty they're dotted around the house! I have a smaller shelf on my stairs that holds my non fiction, my bedside table is always stack full of them. However, because my little office area is within my living room space, it is easier to keep them in one area. Thank you again for the lovely words & time you took to write this out. It is truly appreciated. I hope you have a wonderful day, or night 💌

So sorry that you didn't like The Honey Witch. I finished reading it before I left for my trip and I really loved the book. I think the reason I loved it so much was because it brought me to back to some of my childhood memories with my own grandma. Her and I were very close and she created a lot of love of magic and caring for living creatures in my life. My own grandma isn't around anymore, so I think this book just hit a bit differently for me and made me enjoy it more? 💕
@woodlandbunnyАй бұрын
I'm really sad too, on reflection i just think the narrative and voice of the main character just felt too young and naïve. Personally found a lot of the plot points just fell a bit flat for me. I must say the one element in which i absolutely adored were the scenes with her Grandmother. I too am extremely close with mine and grew up around her too, helping her garden and do household bits. I still do that now. So i 100% adored that whole element of the book and completely understand your point because i resonate with it! I think it will be one that i do re-visit but i feel i may have come off a bit negative when that isn't my intention, think i might have had a negative light on it because i hyped it up so incredibly much in my head. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss - big hugs! 🧸✨
@goodmornindreamerАй бұрын
@@woodlandbunny that's totally understandable and I've been there before with over hyping a book and getting let down. I'm sorry that was the experience you had reading the book and if you do revisit it someday, I hope it is a more enjoyable experience 🥰❤ and thank you! it's never easy, but I'm still grateful for the time I did get to have with her 🥲💕

I'm so very glad to hear it.. sounds like a fantastic reading month and happy you found some books you enjoyed 🥰 I read 'The Priory of the Orange Tree' by Samantha Shannon a little while ago now but haven't got around to reading 'A Day of Fallen Night'. Do you recommend doing so? 💫 I haven't heard of the other titles you listed. Really intrigued by them though 🧸✨
@caitlinlilymАй бұрын
@@woodlandbunny Yes, I would definitely recommend reading 'A Day of Fallen Night' (ADOFN) after Priory! 😊 I read 'The Priory of the Orange Tree' two years ago and really enjoyed it, but ADOFN is a new favourite of mine now. In Priory, I really enjoyed Ead's point of view, but was less invested in the others during some points in the book, whereas in ADOFN I loved all of the characters so so much and enjoyed reading from each of them. Although it is the longest book I have read this year so far, I actually read it in a shorter length of time than some of the other books I have read 😅
