@@jim-ls6rv I don’t usually share exact locations of spots where I find native trout or salmon. I don’t hide it from anyone that may recognize it, but I don’t broadcast these locations to the public. I will say if you’re looking to target brook trout in HRM I’ve found them in most river and stream systems I’ve tried around the county.

As of last weekend the bay was still producing some keeper sized stripers on the New Brunswick side. We fish Saints Rest beach using double dropper rigs, 8/0 circles and cut mackerel. I will admit the bite is getting very slow, didn't hook up until 4.5 hours of hard fishing. Managed to get a couple of 29's and one schoolie. Late September and early October the bite was every 20 minutes or less.

@@MikeHart72 as Jack has mentioned there are still open fishing opportunities. For me the countdown starts as soon as I’m too cold to enjoy fishing 😂 should be some mackerel around for a while longer, but once the lakes freeze over I usually pack it up until the start of the next season.

@@hasirakbar blue beach is an okay spot but lots of places to get snagged on rocks. Anywhere in Walton that you can find a place to cast should be good. Find any public beach on the bay of fundy and try there if you want. I have never found a spot on the bay of fundy where I could cast that didn’t produce striped bass.

I throw back everything I catch but my friend asked me to try for some mackerel for him. I’m just getting back into fishing after 20 plus years. Back then anything we kept we just left it alone until it died. I’ve heard that ruins the meat

I went out a few days ago and the mackerel were barely biting in the Bedford basin. Not like 2 weeks ago it’s really died down for me. I know you are on camera and all but mackerel rarely survive being caught and released, 1/8 of an inch under you should still keep if that close:)

@@AndrewJames-ps2jc i try not to take chances with any of the fishing regulations although I do appreciate your point. Unfortunately mackerel aren’t tough fish and some of the released ones likely wouldn’t have survived, but the seagulls and the seal would probably get an easy meal at least. I figure it would be a bad look on me as a KZbinr if I was fined for keeping undersized fish lol but I don’t judge what others do as long as they have conservation in mind and don’t take more than they’ll use. Last night and tonight I got 9 and 11 bass. The rain really made the bite come back in my spot out sackville . Biggest prob around 2lbs 16 inches. Good stuff man. Ever tried using soft plastics for bass? Thats my fav way of fishing for bass now.

Been lots of small fish out that way from shore and hard to get keepers. I've been hitting up the other side at Summerville, Cheverie and Walton. Check out Walton next time as it floods deep with the tides and there's not too many big rocks to get snagged on. There's a private driveway at the end of Bancroft road in Walton that will take you to park right on the beach.

@@OleksiiIsonkin this beach is only accessible from a friends private property unless you come by atv at low tide. It’s located in walton. If you can find any place to access the coast of the bay of fundy it’s worth trying I’d think. I’ve yet to try a beach on the coast there that didn’t produce at least a few small striped bass.

Yeah I know……pics or it never happened but……In less than half an hour I just landed 5 bass. The 4th one was 16 inches, just shy. What would have been number 6 was jumping and putting up such a fight people in a boat stopped to watch, I have no doubt it was even bigger judging by what we could see as it jumped, the bend in my rod and the fight. It snapped my line as it was getting close. I found a lure that bass love, I’ve caught a lot with it. It’s now stuck in the mouth of a fish so I have to get a new one. I don’t know how to describe it or anything but it’s $13.99 at Canadian Tire, a Rapala F-5. It looks like a speckle trout minnow I think. I’ve had nothing but luck with it

@@Howwerelivingfishing Yo just got off work but theres federal regulation for invasive species for chain pickerel, and provincial for NS. Pictou is getting hit hard so specifically they mention that region, but the pickerel is considered invasive in all of canada and nova scotia, they upped the bag limit to 100 per person a day so we can fish them all out and save our salmon and trout..good fishing them though good fight, good vids bro

I’m the guy who a month or so ago said he was getting back into fishing after a good 20 years or more. I bought just some basic gear and have been fishing a lot over the last couple weeks. I went to Banook and caught a few small bass. I went to Mic Mac, caught a few small bass but the biggest fresh water fish I ever saw swam right in front of me. I assume it was a pickerel. That was fun. I’ve been fishing a lot in Porters Lake. The size of the bass and the fight they put up is incredible. They are thick and meaty. I haven’t kept any though. If you get out that way and start catching some you won’t want to fish any where else.
