Also let’s say I do a 3 gallon water change every 2 weeks I’ll add shrimp mineral to the new water before adding to tank.? Or will that not be needed bc the crushed coral should keep the parameters stable ? Thanks!!

Am I correct in saying that the crushed coral will keep the PH at 8? I know it mainly buffers the water to keep it stable from any fluctuations, but in doing so the PH stays around 8?

I used to breed large amounts of Ramshorn's as a child, I absolutely loved them. They do eat live plants, at least duckweed: I often used it as food if I was short on anything else to feed them. It's definitely not their first choice but yeap live plants are on the table if they are hungry.

Ramshorns absolutely DO eat frogbit. Mine especially love the tiny hairs on the roots. Especially fresh ones, they literally mow them down. I never see my other snails do that & I don't see my ramshorns go after any other live plants that I have. Not even similar ones, like pistia. Frogbit must be extra tasty for them.
