@@jaimetorres6074 Yes. Cutting both brackets ensures clearance. It will allow you to access the bumper mounting bolts for any additional adjustment after the bumper is installed.

@@jaimetorres6074 You will reuse the 1500 frame mounting bolts and everything else uses the 2500. Sorry, I don’t have the 2500 fastener list.

@@toxicspace9417 The only 1500 bolts/brackets you will reuse are the frame mounting brackets. All other bolts/brackets are for the 2500.

@@juliomoreno5370 I’ve got LEDs in mine and they work perfectly. Crazy bright. 😜 Make sure you have the correct bulbs for your truck. 💀

I used this video to help install this on my 2010 suburban. Only problem I’m having now is that my fog lights stay on and do not turn off.

@@thatsinglecabchevy1426 the fog light icon on my dash would turn on and off but the lights would stay on. I followed a suburban video that uses the block on the bottom left side but now the fogs don’t turn on at all

@@mervindao Sounds like your switch is good. Hard to say what’s wrong without looking at it. Could be bad ground, relay, corrosion on wires/connectors. If you purchased everything new and did it exactly how it’s shown in the video, it will work just like factory. You’ve definitely got an outside issue happening. Try checking these things I listed above.

I have a question I never see answered anywhere. Would this conversion work on the sierra same years? i have always wanted to convert the front bumper to the hd Silverado bumper. i feel almost every other part on the truck is the same so i am hoping this will also work! thanks for any knowledge you could pass forwards

With the grille off, loosen up the frame mounting bracket bolts (4 total). If you’re doing it alone, leave them tight enough to hold as you move it or have someone gauge it for you. Place the crowbar (curved end) under the frame bracket, and pry back toward the truck. This will lift up and back on the bumper assembly. I used a 1 1/4” (give or take) piece of foam to gauge the sides of the bumper where it meets the fender. It’s a tighter fit than factory. 👍🏼 Once in position, tighten up the bolts one side at a time. Hope this helps. ☠️👊🏼

@@figet0358 If the side brackets are pulling down on the bumper ends (when tightening the outside/lower bolt, you’ll need to measure the gap between the mounting bracket and side mounting brace. Then, use a spacer equivalent or slightly larger to that distance so you can tighten it up without pulling down on the bumper ends. For instance, let’s say on the driver side (no bolt installed) you have a 1/2” gap between the side brace and side mounting bracket, then you’ll need to cut a 1/2” spacer or slightly larger to fill in this gap. If you don’t have any spacers, you could also stack washers to fill this space.

Yes, they plug directly into the back of the fog lights.

You need around 12 10mm bolts for the brackets alone. Then get

Then get 15 star point 1.5 inch screws for the bottom valence. And for the fog light bezels you use the bolts from the old bumper

I am going to use an aftermarket HD where the plastic hood vents/trim are molded in and functional along with a built-in functional ram air. The hood is over a grand just to buy it. Sooo, it a process. lol Personally I don’t like the fake, non-functional HDs with all that pieced together plastic trim. ☠️
