Great job Michelo. My Honda has recently turned 2 years old so during the winter when it's off the road I'll be doing all the fluids on the bike and will repeat this with the GSX too. Its always best practice like you say about having the bike supported on the stands when working on them. I always have my bikes on stands when carrying out maintenance on them. I'm hoping to get a table lift for the garage when I have a bit more space in it

@@BMCMOTOUK thanks for staying turned into my channel its appreciated. I also looked at a motorbike lift, saw on on ebay very reasonably priced, not sure what the quality would be like.
@BMCMOTOUK5 күн бұрын
@michelod.i.y.5202 thanks Michelo, I always enjoy your content. There's alot of lifts to choose from but like you say it's the quality that counts and I don't mind paying a bit more if its a decent lift, just means saving up for a bit longer. I need to get rid of one of my classic cars to make room in the garage for a lift. I really need to get stuck back into the car and get it into a rolling chassis, it's currently sitting on a pallet lol

Thanks for the info. And some things i gathered from elsewhere.. I see that one is supposed to use dexron ii or iii. Also, to do the steering with it jacked up engine off, then to turn on and do steering with it down. 1 tip of mine, is to flash light the reservoir to see better.

Hi Michelo, That's a nice bike you have there. I used to have a suzuki gsf 650. Now sold. I miss it. It fitted in with my life style, was more of hobby at the time. I never got to clean the chain always left it to my mechanic, but he did advise on using a degreaser fluid. Good to see the weather held up 😊

Hi Michelo hope you're well, great video as always! Re chain cleaning, I use paraffin in a spray bottle to clean the chain and then gear oil to lube it. Diesel might be a bit harsh with the O rings. Re touring, I toured Europe in 2023 with my CB650R and covered just over 3000 miles in 12 days. It wasn't too uncomfortable however it wouldn't tour again with it as I have the Suzuki GSX 1250FA and that's a sports tourer so I get the best of both worlds with it and it's very comfortable especially as it has a comfort seat and that makes a huge difference. My only gripe with it is I'm used to 60+ mpg with the Honda but only get low 40s mpg with the GSX but like I say it's worth loosing some mpg and substitute it with comfort!
@michelod.i.y.520215 күн бұрын

Cost was £6.99 for two. Huge thanks to you without your instructions I would not have had the confidence to take the car apart, in that way. Many thanks for the great instructions. The washers have blocked several times now and Kia admit it is a design fault yet want hundreds of pounds in labour to fix. I will try this over the next couple of months. Many many thanks

Great video. I love this bike. Have a 2007 GL1800 right now. But what’s up with riders talking about “wobble” at 100 approximately mph (161 kph)? Some riders say it was only the 2003 models others say it was never fixed. One channel said British police sued Honda over deaths of motorcycle police officers on the 2003 models & that Honda settled & made changes. From an article “The Honda Pan European ST1300 was banned by Merseyside police after trainee police motorcyclist PC David Shreeve was thrown from his …” (Google search “british police sue honda st1300”). Apparently a coroner said the bike was the cause. I would love to buy one but not if it’s going to throw me. lol 😀 I’m just now hearing about it this week after 15 years of thinking about this bike so I can’t blame riders who haven’t heard yet or have better info than me. Thanks again for a great video. Stay safe & if you have any info about the “wobble” on this or any models I’d love to hear your thoughts. 👍
