Nyc uses these scanners to scan the latest and greatest yeezy flip flops which cost around $250 new then the y make thousands of 3d printed models and sell them for $50 each

Hi I'm super interested in your method of applying markers to the tape instead of direct to the object. Do you have a reusable tape? I recently bought the UE PRO partly based on this video.

Buy a good painters tape it will do the job but non of them can be reused a lot of times.

Hello, I am stuck between Transcan C and Pro HD. The important thing for me is to scan vehicle parts from 5cm to 70cm. I will not use the manual scanning part much. Is it better than Transcan when scanning with Pro HD industrial package? What I really want is which one sees the hole diameters and protrusions in the dark better.

I would opt for the Pro HD because scanning parts over 10kg is not possible on the automatic turn table of the Transcan and manually turning is a bit time taking. As well complex parts need more angles and will take you a lot more time scanning with the Transcan.

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a laptop with the requirements the TranScan C recommends. The list is outdated as far as requirements go, Is there a laptop out in the market right now that has the latest requirements a step above than what TransScan C requires?

It depends actually on the object quality, more features make it secure. You can reach similar values like normal scanners but with markers you have a predictable result quality, in any case.

Is it possible to scan first all texture images for one full rotation on the turntable and then apply scanning spray and do second round scanning the surface of the object. By this nice texture and good object scanning quality on even black and shiny parts of the object could be achieved.

Would be good but not so far. You can use dulling spray, it will solve the issue in most of the cases.

could you compaire the Shining 3D Transcan C to the SP a bit more? I know the TranScan C has the better Camera. But is it really better in terms of Accuracy?

The difference is like you said the better Camera but as well the projector. The most important difference is the flexibility regarding object size. The accuracy depends on various factors and it's not one parameter as many think but expect the Transcan to take the lead because of the much more quality components. I didn't compare them on the same item jet but could be interesting.

Best would be FreeScan Combo in my opinion. You have the best entering in holes and channels.

Smaller than 5cm per square makes no sense as well bigger than 10cm neither (depending the field of view size) Greetings

If it's made the right way it's not having affect. But the devil is in the detail. If the markers are moving during scanning you'll get problems with the accuracy.

Sometimes you have to put your hand up and admit you got scammed 🤦🏻♂ We're using a scanning bureau now - they use Artec equipment, and that's streets ahead of our miserable Einscan device. In the end, it's been a £12k mistake in the direct costs of kit and training, but far more in delays it caused to another dependent project which was set back by some months. We'd strongly advise you to learn from our expensive mistake and not to purchase one! 😉

Utterly ludicrous video. If anyone is here,it's to see the results, what are the scans like after use. I don't need to know about theory or evaporation times (it's listed on the blurb and tins) this is possibly the worst and most pointless video I've ever seen on KZbin.

Just in time :) Quick question: is the freescan software lighter that einstar ? I am scanning 1.5m rear wing both sides 0.2 with Einstar and have problem meshing with 64 GB ram. I will borrow in few days the Combo and wonder if this going to work as one scan or need to split it.

Without knowing the case in detail, there is typical reasons. 1 supported scan size per project group. There is a factor 81..x Resolution that is the maximum length per scan in one project group, that is supported. That might be smaller in EinStar (I have not tested that on every scanner). In this case split the scan in one more project groups. 2 week hardware, RAM is one important factor but CPU and GPU as well matter a lot. 3 corrupt data files from you point cloud. Sometimes ssd or hdds make errors in saving the data and will make it impossible to merge the model. There are more but this are the most frequent ones.

What is Ideal Base color before Tarnish 50 application, For a Custom Sculpted or Sacrafisial part? Flat Black, Silver, 70% Dark Grey, White, etc?

Normally there is no need to choose a base color. Never the less, when using systems with texture tracking a contrast to the base color can help. So dark colors with a thin coating enhance texture tracking.

I have a question for you. We have the Free scan UE7. I was asked by a colleague how do they verify the accuracy of the scanners? We have a calibration board that we calibrate the scanner to as with most 3D laser scanners, but how do we verify the accuracy of the laser? He said where he works they use CMM measuring machines for inspection. They made a test jig that has been accurately ground where they can verify flatness between points, circularity of a hole of 58.488mm, measure an angle of a certain part of the jig. All of these test points on the jig are dimensioned and have been certified by an independent authority. So, when ever a customer asked them to verify their CMM they bring out the test jig and reference it to the jig's drawing. How would you go about doing such a task if asked by a customer?

I think no better option for the money. Space Spider is not too versatile and a quite expensive for the performance

I currently have the SP version and its image textures are too low quality for me, but the cameras on the Transcan C look much better with nice features like focus distance and aperture. Do you think this Transcan C will be able to scan smaller objects than what the SP can capture?

The UE Pro has more than double cam resolution and an internal photogrammetry. The Combo go a fan to level inside temperature instead a very expensive composite bone for the thermal stability.@@brezovprut4431
