Could not agree more! A tech pack goes a much longer way with more detailed information to help your factory understand your design, especially if it's original. Any info you don't provide will force them to guess.

What is fit sample
@POINTSofMEASURE2 ай бұрын
A fit sample is the prototype that has been developed by your factory for you to review before finalizing the design. Learn more about fit samples here (see bottom of post for an overview): www.pointsofmeasure.com/tutorials-education/diy-technical-design-section-8-reviewing-your-first-prototype

You looking up, as if reading something most of the time is a bit annoying and distracting. Your video was informative though it's just that it would have been cool if you looked straight at me (aka the camera) for the most part.

Thanks for your feedback! This is quite an old video when I was just learning how to film myself. Hopefully you'll find my newer formats less annoying and more enjoyable to watch. Thanks for the support and happy to hear you found it helpful!

How did you create the large box? I’m using the free version of the excel software.
@POINTSofMEASURE6 ай бұрын
highlight cells in the area where you want a large box and use the "merge and center" function (under alignment). From there you can adjust the box border and text style. If you need to unmerge the cells just click the "merge and center" function again.

Hi, I have a pair of Nike Tights and flatlock seam unraveled in one area and resulted in a loose thread. Is there any way to repair it with hand sewing? Thank you.
@POINTSofMEASURE6 ай бұрын
Yes! It is possible. You just need to copy the original stitch. I found this video which is close (not perfect), but I'm sure you could find an example with a little digging! www.pinterest.com/pin/211174976549538/

I wanna also say, there's a software called Seamly2d, it's free, and you can input your own measurements, and change out the measurements to automatically change the sizing on the pattern.

I have an overcast on a brother se630 should I get a serger? I contemplated purchasing a used one, what do you think?
@POINTSofMEASURE9 ай бұрын
It really depends on what you're using it for. The nice thing about a serger is that it has a blade that cuts the excess seam allowance as you sew, so it reduces bulk.

Are you not able to move the entire object? Or are you not able to delete the extra lines/numbers? If it is the latter, be sure that you are double clicking into the grouped object (or right click and choose "ungroup"). If you are using it from the symbol library you will need to click the button labeled "break link" which will be located (usually) on the right tool bar under "quick actions" or on the top tool bar (depending on how your workspace is set up). If you are still having issues feel free to email me at [email protected] and I can help you troubleshoot!
