Nice bench. If the chisel was sharp enough it would be easy to chop the mortice. Also the rubber mallet likely absobs a lot of the energy, wooden mallet would be more efficient to transfer it to the chisel.

This is beautiful, trying to make one of these for a kung fu form I learned recently called the "Dragon Bench" which uses one of these as a weapon.

Nice work, this is probably one of the hardest pieces to make, with all of the angles involved. Well done👍.

Very good work,you probably know but that looks like it would make a great work bench , with a few dog holes drilled in the top.How did you work out the compound angle of the legs? have you plans of your wonderful bench?

You changed the size of the mortises?
