I'm confused about the end here. I've understood the notion that language can "go on holiday" to refer to philosophical problems which find their basis in mental images and are thus disconnected from their use- not that the use in abstraction, as in the freedom/determinism debate, is somehow less viable as a language game because the broader community uses it with specific purposes in mind. In other words, I feel that problem has no sense because it's abstracted from what is plain to see, rather than that the language game which it belongs to is inefficient...
