This video is a bit misleading. Yes, you can press left or right to dodge, but that is functionally the same as pressing back. The game has no concept of lateral dodges, only of low and high dodges. The reason why its working is because the regular enemies will do a high attack 99% of the time (and shifting back while dodging is a "high dodge"). It can also work against elite enemies, you simply have to match the direction. Orange attacks simply means they cannot be blocked so you have to do the proper parry or dodge

Yeah - there is a bit of a curve to learning the game. Once you get it down though - it'll feel amazing!

I REALLLLYYY wanted to like this - but I tried to hard to be something its not and it got lots in the weeds. I think those that loved it may not have played Nier -and those that DID play Nier just see dissapointment.

Hey hey! Totally valid criticisms my dude. I’d love to add more over time - I think I got a little carried away with making it LOOK exactly how I wanted and neglected adding more complex gameplay elements it needs. That’s not to say I’m not happy with it as is - but I wholly agree that some evolution in gameplay would really ratchet it up. I think the overall impetus for this game was “short, sweet, and cheap game that I can make in a month or two (or three…)” so when it was like “we can push it back a few months and add more content” it felt like it was starting to lose the forest for the trees. Either way, so glad you played em all and loved watching this. <3

The game is good albeit a liitle short feels more like a a patch work hellblade 1 story started and ended with a story that was stiched together beautifully as it has a good start and a good logical end which was like absent in 2nd part

i still dont understand why people think hades is a 10 game. I bought it and got bored after an hour or two..

Its a good game, but I don't know if it hits a 10. Maybe in the Rogue-Like genre. But otherwise it would probably sit at a 9. Hades 2 at an 8 for now, early access should fix that up.

Hades 2 is the weaker game of the two... Its not bad but its not particularly more fun or better in any way than its predecessor. Im still gonna keep playing it and hopefully the weapons, monsters, and boons will be made more fun.

I totally get that. Weapons don't feel as good as the 1st and the booms seem to be mostly the same. I'm guessing the weapons will get tweaks in early access, not sure on the boons.

ive been struggling to have fun in this game . absolutely loved the first one but this one i just simply dont enjoy. it is only the gameplay i dislike as for the story, characters music and stuff i still think are as amazing as the first . i just found that i really disliked how it plays, this game feels more like i should stay at a safe distance and play slowly since all the enemies are just damage sponges and the bosses hit like a mf truck.. the one thing that really turned me off was the dash sprint . i would way rather have a separate button to sprint and button to dash, instead of this hold dash to dash into a sprint . it just feels so off to me idk why they changed the simple but perfect dash they had in the first. it feels like it wanted to be too different from the original, which isnt necessarily a bad thing but i liked it when i would feel like a god in the original game . now no matter what boons i find or weapons i use my character feels slow and weak

The dash in Hades 1 was brain dead, especially after picking up the double dash upgrade. You actually have to pick your spots to go in and pay attention to enemy instead of rolling face on the attack + dash buttons. It's much much better designed once you get a feel for it. Also some boons in Hades 1 were so broken they trivialised the rest. You could often complete runs with just 1 or 2 key boons. Hades 2 takes a little more skill and your build choices actually matter.

Did you try playing first with "godmode" on? I dont know how it is called in your language. You will find it in the settings menu.

Did you ever play the old Myst games or The Witness? I like both of those. How does this compare to those on difficulty? Kinda seems like both of those at least provided more challenge to puzzle-solving.

I didn't play Myst but I did briefly play The Witness (barely an hour, was just checking to see if it was something I may want to review) and those puzzles are MILES beyond anything this game has. I'd almost say Gray Dawn is busywork and not puzzles.

I get that. I could see how this could be a REALLY good AARPG too. Or if they toned it down a bit to be more like The Witcher combat. The game itself has a Witcher story. You're some magical race many are afraid of, here to do a job. /shrug What do ya think of Rogue-Likes? Hades II early access is out - I'm playing that :-)

Excellent game right now. It will probably be a GOTY pretender at release. No need to wait if you think it can be your kind of game. Paid Beta is exactly what early access is supposed to be.

While you're right - only having the 1st chapter is a little off putting for me. You finish it in a handful of hours and now just wait...... yes there is the gauntlet / crucible you can partake in and test new changes. But there's no new story yet. So for me personally - I'ma wait for that story!

this is a great game, i would recommend to buy now as is. I love game, it's very unique in it's gameplay and the combat is very smooth and fun once you stop trying to play like other games in the genre. This has the potential to be huge. And if it isn't. It will still be one of my favorite games of all time

Ooft, make sure a report gets sent into Moon Studios! I'm sure they'll fix that along with all the other things. It seems like it's going to be a really good game once it comes out.

The visual of this heavily reminds me of Torchlight, the slightly cartoonish / not-quite-right proportions. The color tone and lighting seem quite nice as well. Helps focus on the important but not to the detriment of the player's eyes.

Sifu is named a person who is a master/teacher of martial arts . Here it means that he has mastered both kung fu and wude,which is martial morality, so he lets them go . Hope that helped @@Stryftek
