This format feels like it'd be good for the more detailed games, or the games that really drew you in. This felt more like a love letter to the game / developer for their work than a straight up review. You still touched on the concepts of the games and what mechanics to expect, graphics etc. I don't feel this style would fit all games though.
@Stryftek2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, makes sense. I was trying the style that other review channels like IGN and Skillup do. Not sure if it suits me yet - we'll see.
@Stryftek2 жыл бұрын
So this is WAAAYYY different compared to my previous "Is it worth your time?" videos - and I'm not completely sold on this style. This was a first time, so future attempts would theoretically be better. But idk yet. I'd love to hear your opinion!!!

It’s a game that’s poetic and is made for the strong minded it’s reflected in the gameplay as well in the narrative . I’ve beat every boss and spared everyone and got both endings and I’m age 20 at every section so I would say it’s worth it, sifu is a great game and we need more games like it

I don't know how people say this game is hard. It's challenging but not like "omg this is so hard and impossible". Cause this ain't the classic Sonic games or MegaMan games THOSE shits were hard. Hell Ninja Gaiden Black and Sigma series is harder especially on your first time playing.
@issy7852 жыл бұрын
the game is super hard but gets easier with repetition, im playing it through a second time to get the true ending and i’m dying a lot less to enemies and even bosses i was struggling with the first time around sean, for example, i can now handle easily, both phases in fact. And Kuroki? i consider her one of the easiest bosses now, i’d say the only truly difficult boss is Yang since he’s essentially you but better
@Stryftek2 жыл бұрын
I'd rate the bosses (easiest to hardest) - Stage 2, stage 4, stage 1, stage 3, stage 5. But the stage 3 boss, only her first form is a pain. Then she's easy.

Hey stryftek, for some reason my focus ability key binds aren’t binding and when I die the golden coins to revive myself don’t show up? Is it a bug?

Weird.... it definitely sounds like it. I think there is a bug for trying to rebind the focus and you actually have to use DEFAULT. OR that's what I've heard. As for the coins not showing up.... huh - that's weird.

Keep trying. Try to learn the combos that the enemies use. This game a lot more about knowledge than skill, very similar to the old nes Punch-out!!! games. Once you gain the knowledge a little practice will have you bringing down the toughest enemies with ease.
@nol25212 жыл бұрын
@@brandonsopinion8904 Exactly. That’s also the point of the aging system. You get to start right where you left off, at the cost of time. You gain knowledge as you age, until you finally learn the enemy’s patterns. I think the reason people are not being the most successful at this game is because they are thinking about it in the wrong way. They are focusing too much on trying to succeed, taking the aging system for granted. Those who use the aging time to fail on purpose, taking the time to learn the enemies, have a lot more ease with the game and that I guarantee.

Sifu wasn't made by an Indy company. They've got more than 5 employees working there and they're all getting paid a regular salary. Also, they have artists on staff that can actually draw and paint stuff that's actually worth looking at. You need to get your facts straight, kid.
@Stryftek2 жыл бұрын
There's no real hard definition of what makes a company an "indy". Tehcnically indy is just independent, so it could be a large company - but still independent. Though traditionally we think of indie games as very small teams - because they usually are. As for Sloclap - everywhere I look they are referenced as indie : store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/sifu#:~:text=Sifu%20is%20the%20new%20game,the%20independent%20studio%20behind%20Absolver. /shrug It would be nice to have more of a solid line. Maybe we make some sort of A, AA, AAA INDIE - based on their size.
@mshak3072 жыл бұрын
From everywhere I am looking this is in fact an indie studio. If you look at their "Our Story" page on their website the first sentence is "Sloclap is an independent games studio created in Paris in 2015." I think for most situations its considered indie if its not backed/ funded or heavily influenced by a AAA studio. So maybe you need to get your facts straight before calling someone else out on it?

@@TheZacek according to the developers an easy mode will get released, try to get used to the game for now and unlock permanent skills, there are a few mechanics that are fairly easy to abuse. You're expected to get better with time, that's the whole gist of it
