How will you dry these after wringing? I have been line drying for the last 3 years. It has saved ALOT of money. I also find it relaxing and there is no better smell in the world than fresh air line dried laundry-you just cant beat it.

I have a clothes horse and plastic hangers. The weather here was cold and cloudy so I hang everything indoors. I use a clothes line in the spring and summer the clothes smell so fresh I just love it. Thanks for the great comment 😃😃 Tim

@@timkessler4894 Yeah winter time can be tough thats for sure. I will hang outdoors even in the 20s-30 degrees. Sometimes I leave them out overnight and they will get a stronger outdoor scent. But when there is a deep freeze we have to string a line in front of the wood stove in the house or drape them over the stove pipes. Havent had a dryer in over 3 years one of the best decisions yet.

I don't want to put them out there and have to bring them back in because they are frozen like cardboard waste of time but I am glad you can do that I don't ever use my dryer waste of energy. Hi Tim, Im in the market for one of these and I notice that people talkna out which loads to do first. I heard its 1. Least dirty first, then most dirty. 1. White cloes first then colors. Is this because youre only filling the washer up once?

Yes I wash clean whites first and then the white towels and the colored towels and then medium colors I wash the blue jeans last because they bleed and it makes the water last longer. I can wash all the clothes in one batch of water which really saves money. Thanks for the great question. Tim

If the bottom roller is not turning you may have to order a wringer head complete part #A4746 from cottage craft works because if the gears are gone it is a good way to go. Tim😃

@@timkessler4894 we figured out what was wrong with it after watching another youtube video. it had a safety mechanism in it that was missing a piece so we bypassed it by taking the safety mechanism out and replacing it with a bolt and that worked. now both of my wringers are working. I just bought this wringer washer today and am super excited to have it. I will have to replace the drain hose because it is leaking

Please refer to my repair manual video. There are several seals in that part there are rubber seals and metal seals and you have to have a special tool to insert the seals. Go to Cottage Craft Works for the seals. Hope all goes well let me know. Tim

Using a wringer washer requires a lot of manual labour, is it any wonder our ancestors ran for the automatics as they aged. With your heart surgery also taking on a role, because it takes a year or so to recover. I was amazed how fast you bounced back when I saw your first video after your surgery.

I just got a machine Maytag n2l was transport on the side 😢 the oil leak out . What kind of oil I should use regular transmission oil for car I don’t want to lock in place I think was over filled with oil anyway because you can see at the top of wringler

The machine takes a 90 weight gear oil you can get it at Tractor supply it comes in a quart bottle. The oil probably leaked from the winger post these machines should not be transported on there side that will happen unless you taped the vent hole. Tim 😃

@@timkessler4894 I think there is still a following for these machines and how they work. I know it can be discouraging at times but you make great content, so dont give up! I believe views are down all around on youtube because of the time of the year and we arent dealing with restrictions like we have been over the past few years. Summer is here and the majority of folks just want to be out and about enjoying the weather and back to living their lives as normal. They arent sitting around surfing youtube like they were in 20/21/22. I still am, but thats just me lol Keep at it my friend and thanks for sharing! (from another Tim!!)

I have a ? how long does it take to wash a load and does every clothing require a different time to wash like 5 or more pair of jeans how long will you keep it in . as washing sheets may take less time as the material is much thinner then jeans. just a ? i have i will love to own a Maytag as well . thnk u Tim for all your Uploads you sooth my soul watching the vintage art of using a Maytag it is a incredible washer they ways things used to be slower paste more hands on touching all the clothing you put in the washer .i wish we can all go back to a slower more peaceful time again and things like the Maytag washers where meant to last. These are the best machines. It takes about 10 minutes per load I have 8 loads per month. I love this machine it is so much fun to use it makes doing the laundry that much less of a chore and I love the sound of the machine. I run the load depending on how soiled the clothes are sheets and pillowcases take less time and towels too. Thanks for the great comment I hope you get a Maytag I know you will enjoy it as well. Did you reset the tension using the reset handle if it still not locking you my have a mechanism problem in the wringer cap let me know. Tim

I'll bet it is that centering spring for the release bar it's not locking the tension bars out. You have to get a new centering spring check out my service manual under wringer cap maintenance there it shows you that spring. Hope it helps you. Tim

Tim, your interior paint job of your tub on your washer seems to be holding up great. I want to do mine. I also would like to do my GE wringer tub with a white enamel if possible. I guess years of use have left the enamel dull. When I saw the results you had with Rosie I was so impressed . She looks showroom new.
