Have you gotten the prop 65 stuff figured out so you can ship to CA? Or will I have to roadtrip up there to get my stuff?

Unfortunately we have not. Best option right now is to have it delivered to family member or friend outside of CA and have them ship to you

You guys are dropping some absolute heat lately, i picked up some flies and the 1st gen montucky and absolutely love it. Use it more than any of my other reels. The project one rod is one of the prettiest rods I’ve seen, definitely going to grab a few when i can. Keep it up! Your customer service is A1 too, loved the “no bananas” sticker

Let me give you some marketing advice! I purchased two custom fly rods ($ 1500.00) The mfg shipped one in a pvc pipe the other taped to it. The mfg has tubes for sale on his site for $ 25.00? It’s not rocket surgery! Add $ 40.00 to your price! You will NOT lose a sale @ $ 350.00 vs $ 300.00
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa Ай бұрын
The majority of the market does include a tube. The price of that rod tube is factored into the final price of the rod. We want to offer our customers the option of opting out of a fly rod tube if they want to save anywhere from $40-$80 if they do not want to pay for it. You can buy one with your fly rod or you don't have to. The point is we want our customer to be able to choose and know what they are paying for.

I have been trying to find out if it is possible to fish Spey casting with multiple flies like on a single hand rod. I had no success until I end-up on your video where it seems normal to have more then one fly. May be because you can not fish salmon with more than one fly...In Canada any way. Do you have video on the subject ? Thanks
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa Ай бұрын
Hey @gouinjean-michel3911 we don't have a video on this at the moment. we do fish 2 flies on a Scandi setup from time to time. Usually I only run two flies when I am fishing soft hackles on my Scandi setup and when I am trying to figure out what the fish are keyed in on. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the great story. I got to spend a week in and around Thompson falls in the early 90's and hooked up on a 24 in. Bull Trout. Best thing is I got to hook up the same fish twice. he broke off just before I could land him and as soon as I got rig up and the next cast he took the bait and got him landed with my first rig in his mouth. Best day ever.

Why does shank fly not work for rainbow 🌈
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa 4 ай бұрын
We have found trout, particularly smaller rainbows on the Missouri tend to slash at a swinging fly which causes the hook to roll over on its side and does'nt stick. We have found 90 degree hooks to have a better hook up rate.
@busterbuffalo5554
@busterbuffalo5554 4 ай бұрын

Can you use scandy with an indicator and bead setup
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa 5 ай бұрын
You could probably cast it, but this style of fishing relies on a tight line and swinging the fly through the water. Your indicator and bead would not be dead drifting.

Nymphing was effective the first day. When we found fish podded up on a particular spot we stripped a streamer through it on a single hand and caught quite a few silvers that way. Swinging pretty consistent with a little patience. Good luck on your trip!
