Excellent list. Can’t argue with any of your selections. Fun video to watch as well. Great translations…reminds me of Dice Tower but better! I like guessing what your next game was based on the components you used in the numbering. Well done! Please do more Top 10 lists in the future!

No wonder I agree with your game lists so much haha. I also believe The Witcher 3 to be the greatest game of all time! (Only other game that might beat it for my personal #1 spot for me is God of War (2018).
@fatherofgames923926 күн бұрын
What god of war better than the Witcher there’s no way 😂 god of war are amazing games as well for sure, I’d say the 2018 one was top 5 for sure.

I go back to this video regularly when I’m looking to pick up a new solo tabletop game! I was wondering if you plan to come out with another more updated list, now that more and more companies are starting to make solo tabletop games over the last few years? I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to have you put out more videos like this (such as top 10 co-op tabletop games, top 10 tabletop games released in 2024, top 10 tabletop dungeon crawler games, etc…). Keep up the great work, as always my dude!
@fatherofgames923926 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for the support :), life has been so busy I’m not sure If I’ll be putting out more videos or not to be honest but I can give you some recommendations for now at least. As far as updated solo games some of my favourites that weren’t on this videos list are, marvel champions, Euthia, the Witcher old world, weather machine, frostpunk and Hoplomachus victorum. My number one for solo is probably Aeon Trespass now just for the sheer amount of content and how much depth each new cycle has. For 2024 games primal the awakening would be my number one but I also enjoyed unconscious mind, kings of ruin, Harakiri, skyrise and inventions. For coop oathsworn, mansions of madness, primal, mind mgmt, the crew, and chronicles of drunagor. Number one game of all time for me is probably still war of the ring followed by rising Sun but I think I’ll really enjoy war for arakis as well once it arrives. I also have been getting in to 40k and I feel like that will be what I’ll be playing the most this year. Hope this helps :)

This might be blasphemous to suggest, but have you tried disregarding the rules by playing the Pearlbrook expansion using BOTH the wonders AND the basic events? Would that work in helping to keep the value of the King card, etc?

Dune Imperium is an amazing game in that it’s easy to learn but there’s so much nuance and variation to the game that makes it fun to play every time. I’m excited for the next expansion, Bloodlines, to see what it brings.

I really likes this game. The main negaitive is it is hard to learn. The rules are not well written (many small "mechanics/systems" to remember by heart). If one like the theme is is not afraid of a long game it is very worth playing though :)

What disappoints me about this game is that the units, even if they are divided into 8 different factions(and each FP faction has 3 different types of units: regular, elite and leader), are practically the same as each other. I wish at least Rohan's elite units could move two spaces, that the elves could use bows to strike further. But no, they are all the same.
@PMMagroАй бұрын
It is on a strategic scale, that whould not work. But there are evenst where someonr once may move extra, "strike/shoot" int an adjacent area instead of attaking normally (or in addtion to doing so).

Do you have any advice for solo board games that help to relax, unwind but at the same time is fun & not boring? I heard mythwind was a good one
@enthusiast32652 ай бұрын
I see the weather cards as a win for focus on the expansion. If the basic and forest tiles are just as good as always, then there is less reason to focus on the expansion gameplay when you could just build a big city. Some of the other everdell expansions just feel like 'extra' without really being more interesting.

Hi! Great rules explanation! I have a question about the Japanese Macaque. It shows that I need an Asia tag to play it. The card comes with an Asia tag, does that count for playing the card?
@goldsmeeth27712 ай бұрын
No. You get the tags after you pay for the card in full. So the asia tag on the card is not in play so you can't use it to pay for the card

Got Grail last year and agree it’s really grindy but i do enjoy the combat system since it’s different. Totally lost my first solo game of it. I know this video is old but have you tried Skyrim the Adventure game? It plays really well solo also.
@fatherofgames92394 ай бұрын
Glad to hear you enjoyed the combat in Tainted Grail it definitely is unique. I was on the fence with the Skyrim adventure game and ended up not buying it part of me still wants to but I did back the new elder scrolls game from chip theory and feel I wouldn’t need two games in the same universe. Glad to hear it plays well solo though I’ll have to keep it on my radar :)

MK is my favorite solo game too! I totally agree with your comments about it! Since I love MK, I was looking for another game similar to MK, how is luck in burncycle? I don’t like too much luck and dices in boardgames
@fatherofgames92394 ай бұрын
Although I don’t find them super similar a lot of people compare Euthia to mage knight either way Euthia is another good game as well. Burncycle has a bit of luck but a lot of choices for mitigation in it as well, there is a bit of randomness on what keypad cards you draw and there is dice rolling but there’s a lot of strategy around how many dice to use and what upgrades to give yourself I found Burncycle to have a great balance.
