Ankh Gods of Egypt Learn To Play In 12 Minutes

I just had a first game of Ankh yesterday and it went really smoothly. I explained everything to the guys, and after first 2 events and then one battle everyone knew the rules. This video though would come real handy - only 12 minutes and everything is explained so well. I will point the guys to this one before our next game as a refresher.

Question regarding Apep’s use: 1. When summoned in and left in a water space, is Apep considered adjacent to all regions bordering the water? 2. If Apep is considered adjacent, I assume he can take part in all battles in all regions adjacent to his water space? 3. If he is taking part in battle, then can he be killed while in his water space?

1 correct after being summoned he must follow regular movement rules though ending on a land space after. 2 correct assuming he survives 3 he can be killed in water spaces as well

Great tutorial! I love this game a lot, especially with the Pharoah expansion. Not a huge fan of the merge mechanic but I enjoy playing at 2 so it doesn't affect me much.

Hello! Regarding “Reveal Ankh Power”, does it have to be revealed in order of level or I can choose which level to unlock?

Hey there, the unlock ankh power action must be done in order, there are six ankh tokens at the bottom of each players board and when you unlock an ankh power take the left most available token you have and use it to chose one of the 4 available ankh powers of the matching level above. So at most only two ankh powers from each level may be chosen each game. Hope that helps.

Yes that’s exactly right, Egypt becomes atheistic and all players lose the game.

No when you gain a follower token you add a follower token to your supply of follower tokens, these tokens are used to pay the ankh power cost when unlocking a new ankh power.

@@JhoanSalgado no problem they can be tough to learn for sure, you gain devotion primarily by having the most of one type of monument at a location during combat (pyramid, temples and obelisks are the types) plus one devotion if you have the most strength in a location during combat there. There is also some ankh powers that can help get you more devotion as well.
