Hi Ross. I know that it takes time to make videos and get it all together with working on the furniture, filming, editing, and so on. So it was about a month ago that you posted this video will you be posting another some time soon? Just wondering, and looking forward to seeing your work again.

I totally missed this upload- it's nice seeing you again! I was thinking about you the other day, wondering how you were doing. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your parents. I have lost my dad and I know how difficult that can be. May they both Rest In Peace. I will pray that your health improves and that you will feel at home in your new space. 29 years is a long time but sometimes you can just feel when it's time for something new. I wish you the very best of luck on this new adventure!

What's the purpose of scuff sanding? The alcohol will partially dissolve the previous coat, creating a bond. It's not like a cured finish where you need a rough surface for adhesion.

@ Oh, I totally understand that, Ross. And your parents…You need some good long rest to get moved and de-stress and get well from illness, grief, and all else that is happening in your life. It’s hard and sad sometimes. God bless you, Ross.

Did you wet sand the entire piece to make sure the finish was even? I have a large dining table which had similar small area of scratches but I guess I’ll need to sand and coat the entire length of table?

I purchased a mahogany church pew which has been cut down to a four seater. It had four fold down chairs, with cut velvet seats. Fortunately it fit in our house. It’s quite comfortable, and I have used it as my chair for years saving wear and tear on our expensive couch, and two chairs. I have a bench on the other corner of the living room I also sit on. For thirty years I didn’t sit on our first sofa, and chairs. But I did use the original chair which is where the bench is now. I Vice the church pew which is quite comfortable, with massive springs in the chair fold down seat. Reminiscent of the spring in old cars of the 1950’s.
