Nice work. I hear you with the sentimental bit though. I have my fathers Original Bowie. It's from Germany though, with Solingen stamped on it, but I think the Japanese ones had that mark as well. As far as I can tell they were mass produced and exported.

It's beautiful as a guitar but am I the only one concerned about that shoulder? Hypothetically if it was used as an axe I believe it has a solvable stress point issue where the head meets the handle.

Great job on the design and special touches. If I can make a recommendation to round those corners of the steel plate above the wheels as that will tear up your ankles walking by.

Niiiiice. Have you considered a few dog-holes along one side, a removable hand planer stop, and the addition of one of those table-end vises?

Can’t recommend using pine. Edge grain pine is too inconsistent across the grain pattern in hardness. I can guarantee that after hand sanding the surface it was not flat across the top. If you are going to the trouble of making a solid board work bench use a hardwood like maple.

Great Video!! That sheath is amazing!! I also have a knife I would like to work on. It has a stacked leather handle that is really dark. I'd like to sand it down and seal it with something but I don't know what to apply to protect the leather. Did you just use beeswax on this? I'd like a hardened shine on the handle and was curious what you would recomend. Thanks!

You can move magnets near the pickups or tap them with something made of metal to see if they work as intended
