You don't have to shoot good ammo to get good groups but you should test all that you can find in your individual gun to see what it happens to like best.

Not yet. Just met with a contractor who is going to clean out the main buildings and do all the landscaping to get it ready to list. Bid was $20k just to remove all the junk and clean everything up. Realtor is in a hurry to get it listed within a couple of weeks. Address is 5930 Hwy 95, Potlatch, ID 83855

Is it possible to demolish part of the house and remodel the undamaged portion into your home? Terrible to see it leave the family. And yes $500K is way too low!

Don't shove each round into the mag tube. Stick the first one in half way, then push it in with the next round half way, and so on.

It does! It's only on there to wring out new loads to ensure accuracy, then it will be replaced by a Skinner site.

I was very disappointed with the rear tire life of the Shinko 244 I put on my 2023 KLR. At 2000 miles the rear tire was already almost gone. I got much better mileage from the similar Kenda 270.

I watched your Frontier video. I own a 2019 Tundra, it's been flawless, I just don't need a truck that size, but looking at all the problems with all the mid-sized trucks, I think I may keep it. The one thing I despise is the "upgraded" JBL sound system, the worst of any car I've ever owned by a long shot. I think I'll just throw money at it, get a cap and replace the sound system. The 5.7l will never die. I'm 6'5" and about 300, people have no idea how bad the ergonomics of most vehicles are for tall people. I can't physically operate many vehicles, some are unsafe the way either my feet span both the brake and accelerator pedal or the way my knees are trapped by the steering wheels. The only other thing I will do is the 3" Old Man Emu lift, I live on dirt and drive dirt constantly and some added clearance and firmer control would be good.

I enjoyed the 2 videos on your dad's Savage. Hopefully there will be more. Torque everything to spec. The most accurate loads are almost never found at max powder charges and over. Buy a box of premium match-grade ammo and see if things tighten up. Savages usually shoot lights out unless the barrel is shot out. Looking forward to follow ups.

Great video! How many miles did you end up getting out of these? Did they stay good in the rain and smooth on highway until the end? Im thinking of getting a set of these for a daily driver/off road tire that has a decently aggressive look to it.

I traded in the 4Runner with about 40k miles on the tires and they still had about half the tread and were still awesome. No noise, no loss of performance. Now running them on My Tundra and have hit 10k miles and still look new.

I would probably go with the Ruglin. It is lighter, slimmer, and just feels better. My Henry Black in .45 Colt is awesome, but much chunkier, heavier, and about the same in quality. Ruger did good!

Hi, I have the same gun. Just curious exactly what site did you put on the rear? What site cut fit? I tried to put a red dot on mine and had a hard time finding an optic plate that fit the dovetail cut. I ended up doing a bunch of filing on a kimber optic plate from EGW and got it to work but it was a chore. Thanks.

I used what they call the Novak cut. The rear went in fine, but the front sight was a nightmare with lots of filing and force.

If it stops with the cartridge half chambered that is an indication that the extractor might be too tight. You can test the extractor yourself adjust the extractor yourself- search online for the process.

My understanding is that with a set trigger you can set it and get a light pull, but if you don't set it you can still shoot it just like a normal trigger (front trigger still) and get a heavier pull, maybe 5 pounds.
@treyveston7965
@treyveston7965 2 ай бұрын

Why cant reviews be done with a lot less verbage? Not picking on you directly but everyone that does videos. No one cares about the verbage except the technical stats. Having to sift through the junk to get to the good stuff is tiresome.

I've seen Glocks that were better but I've also seen some that would not come close to 5" groups. I've also seen tests done with Blazer Brass and with Magtech, using a gun more accurate than the Glock, and the Magtech groups centered up to 2" from the center of the Blazer groups. I don't think this would explain the group sizes that you got but with more accurate guns you would want to sort the ammo first.
@treyveston7965
@treyveston7965 2 ай бұрын
This was more of a performance review than an accuracy review. With some tailored reloads and really concentrating, I can get some awesome groups out of my pistols. The Glock 19 has gotten 1" groups and the P365 has done 2". Today's video was mostly to just see if the Ruger was functional and reasonably accurate, which it was.
