Thanks for the video, how many reps do you recommend? Some I can only do ten others I can do five. Hope that I can improve my supination if I consistently work these exercises, within a few months, is that realistic?

Great video. Don't worry about the complaints... people get FREE information and cannot be bothered to look up terminology and learn something. Want everything served on a silver platter. Grow up. It is YOUR body. It's easy to understand if you put forth the effort. Unbelievable how lazy society has become. Again... great video. One can even help facilitate big toe/first met head by putting a wedge underneath it, makes the movements more effective by bringing the floor up to the foot to help it sense what is going on.

Can you do this on the floor like a scapula push up press or is that too much weight?
@integratedkineticneurology8525
@integratedkineticneurology8525 2 ай бұрын
You can progress to something like that - definitely best to progress from low to high load when trying to expand range of motion. I would try to increase the duration of load at the wall before progressing the load / resistance

How do you increase your spine rotation backwards through retraction? Isn’t this happening through protraction?
@integratedkineticneurology8525
@integratedkineticneurology8525 3 ай бұрын
The retraction of the spine couples with a flexion of the spine in this case because the pelvis is fixed & the arms are fixed (which creates a protraction of the scapulae). This reaching backwards of the spine makes it easier to maintain flexion as we drive a posterior pelvic tilt & contract via hip extension…instead of just flexing the spine as if you were reaching the hands towards the ground

So what to do if toe flexion and heel reversion is limited?
@integratedkineticneurology8525
@integratedkineticneurology8525 3 ай бұрын
If you identify them as limited & hypothesize that they are important to address within the context of the individuals problem, then you put together a plan to gradually increase that range of motion

Thats a lot of non-standard nomenclature to say something that every physio would have been able to tell you on week one year one of their studies.

This is helpful. Its hard to know when to work through pain. I am rehabbing a back injury, doing it myself and mybpain level definitely has increased. But im hesitant to stop because i have already waited two and a half months for it become less acute, to start doing the minimum rehab movements. I feel like i just need to accept some higher pain levels and my body will adapt.

If you are talking about the sij , then it only rotates around 2 degrees. I’m pretty sure it is pretty irrelevant in terms of what you are taking about.

No, as the title of the video states - I’m talking about the pelvis. Mainly how it’s moving relative to the lumbar spine / thoracic spine & femur. I agree, sacral motion is so minimal that it never really factors into my thought process

I prefer to do assisted Peterson Step Ups and the Poliquin Step Up both get the knee over more than the one you did (aka Patrick Step Up). But I like your regression seated. I noticed quickly that the Peterson Step Up (most challenging) helped pretty quickly with my gait cycle when walking avoiding hyper extension…I still have weakness in my foot…ie weakness with plantar flexion.
@integratedkineticneurology8525
@integratedkineticneurology8525 8 ай бұрын
Those step up variations don’t integrate ankle plantar flexion as much as the ones we’re working through here. That’s our intention - to coordinate load between the quads & ankle plantar flexors to reduce the tendency to extend the shin (which would drive the load into the heel, which reduces the contribution from the ankle PF & quads). I like those step up variations you mentioned if the goal is to concentrate load into the distal quadriceps
