The way I solved the gas tank situation for my BMX bike build is I bought one of those shelves that you attached to the bike seat post and put the gas tank on that with an extra piece of tubing from the cut around the seat post under were you screw on the shelf so it wouldn't rattle down and rub the rear tire👍

It worked good. But then I burned up my motor because I had a smaller sprocket on the rear wheel which pulled to much and burned it out. But when it was working it was good !!

the last build I did I ran the wires through the frame tube. i also made a chain tensioner that tensions off of the engine (turns out they already make them lol)

You should have made a custom plate or a modified mount on the motor rather than cut the frame!! Its weakened it to a dangerous point! You should watch a channel called "rather be welding" he builds bike's and carts among many other things related to cars and bikes.. you will learn a lot there 😊 especially how to make a motor fit a small frame bike. The end product does look good but o wouldn't ride it if you are heavier than 60kg it will 100% bend in the middle..
@MattafiedCooking
@MattafiedCooking 11 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. The frame is a strong frame. The motor helps strengthen the frame and also, I don’t ride it hard. Very conscious about the Integrity of the frame and never do wheelies or race it. It’s my everyday bike. And ride it 6 miles everyday.

@@MattafiedCooking like I suggested go watch a channel called " rather be welding " you will learn exactly what to do to fit the motor and add support for the frame.. he specialises in mostly bikes and motor bikes and home made carts sand buggys and 4x4 rock crawlers all hand made from the tires up to the roof

Hi quick question does the motor work as a brake as well, since it has a break wire as well, or do we have to buy brakes separately?

It does but I couldn’t figure it out. Quite honestly, the motor burnt up the second day I rode it. But before that happened I just had manual breaks.

I havent watched it all through yet but you could definitely just weld a bar along the frames top bar just to help reinforce it. Wouldnt be pretty but help it from bending at all.
